My husband and I were seconds away from signing on the dotted line for a Mazda 3 when the sales manager walked out and told us that this car had been in an accident. Consider this your warning - this was a classic bait and switch where we had asked our salesperson multiple times if the car had been in any accidents and/or if there were any parts replaced, to which the response was always no. As well, not sure how this worked, but the accident was not noted on the carfax report. As is typical, the staff/management waited until the last possible moment to tell us about the accident, right when we were already picturing ourselves in the car. All in all, the whole process with this dealership was extremely shady. Our original sales guy, Fred, claimed he didn't know the car had been in an accident (which is not really believable). Then, his manager stated that he was just being nice/honest by telling us about the accident before we signed because he was a good guy and not because he legally had to do it - also untrue. In the end, we walked away - this whole experience was truly unbelievable.
