I bought my 2004 VW GTI 1.8T from Stevens Creek VW back in April 2004 because they had a sale on GTIs...$500 below invoice for anything on the lot! I worked entirely through the internet fleet manager...I was very picky about color/options (had to have 17" wheels and nothing else, gray or silver only) and they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. They found me the car I wanted from another dealership in the state and agreed to do a dealer trade to get me the car for invoice even ($500 more than their sale price for on-lot cars). I didn't even bother haggling it, it was so good and easy. I traded in my 2002 VW GTI 1.8T...they gave me $14,000 on my trade. I could've gotten a little more for a private sale (maybe an extra grand?) but overall it was a very good deal on my trade. The only real downside to the exchange was quite minor...they said the car would come in 3 days and it turned into 6...but that was OK because I got to drive my trade-in until my new car was delivered. A few weeks after I bought it I noticed the rear floor mat hold downs were not installed...I drove to the dealership with no appointment and they put them in in a few minutes. Overall I'd reccomend them...just go through their internet department and watch out for anything out of the ordinary...then again, I'd say the same thing about ANY dealership.
