I visited this dealership, Roseville Toyota, in the evening after seeing ad prices in the Sacramento Bee car section, a big colorful ad. One of the cars, a gas-saving Prius was left, but the salesman did not have keys available on the alternate lot. A high pressure sales game began with numerous numbers flying all over the place and many "congratulations on your purchase," at each point of the negotiation. They tried everything. I was promised the blue book value on my trade in by 3 salesmen, but none of them delivered. Finally I said I could not make a deal without the blue book information and they refused to supply this and ended the deal right there. When I arrived home I found that the "super deal " on the Prius was actually the average price that others were paying in the Rosevile area, at least $1000 above invoice. I then found out that the trade in deal I was offered was over $3,000 below the Kelly Blue Book Trade In Value online.(Note this was the trade in value, not the private sales which is higher of course.). They tried all of the high pressure tactics: delays, teaming up 2 on 1, bringing in a socially adept manager who made great eye contact and touched me lightly several times, lots of numbers and time payments, guilt, etc. Finally, I guess they realized I was no easy take and said Good Night. If you go to this dealer, go armed with trade in Kelly Blue Book information and New Car Pricing guide from the Kelly site also. And don't cave to the pressure.
