I had decided to purchase a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid (FEH). This proved difficult since the 2009 FEH was not yet rolling off the assembly lines. I struck out with 5 pervious Ford salesmen and was about ready to go from the Roseville, CA Future Ford dealership to the Toyota dealership when Joe Chacon came out from the back office and told me that there were no 2009's on the lot and he knew nothing of the 2009 Escape Hybrid, but he would help me research placing and order. He took me to his office and we went online and searched a couple of sites. The last one was edmunds.com and I picked the trim, color and option I wanted. We printed it out. He took it into the 'Inner sanctum' for a few minutes. When he returned he said we had a deal. It could not have been simpler. I had researched this dealership, which turned up with the Ford 'Presidents Award' over the last 8 years. So when Mr. Chacon told me he was submitting the order the next bustness day and I ought get the SUV hybrid in maybe 6-8 weeks I was not surprised. I just learned my Escape Hybrid is 'Sequenced' on the Ford computer at the Kentuck Assembly Plant. I figure the 2009 Escape will be on the Future Ford of Roseville lot in 3-4 weeks. This was a great experience dealing with Future Ford of Roseville, and Mr. Joe Chacon.

I bought the Escape Hybrid Limited with a trailer hitch and with Xylon coating. Both of these were applied in one day. Very good service at 'Future Ford of Roseville', which now gets: 5 stars for service dept. 3 stars for finance dept. still no points for trade in, since I did not do that.

This is a followup of an earlier review of 'Future Ford of Roseville' Itook a special salesman to take up the task of looking into ordering a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid (FEH), which no dealership in the area had seen, let alone had data on. I got one ordered with his help and he then helped me in tracking it from the order process to the assembly in Kentucky and finally to the shipping to California. Once it arrived, I checked over the SUV and was impressed with the detail work by the dealership, as well as the fit & finish of the Ford Escape. I was eager to get behind the wheel, but first had to go into the Finance Manager's office to sign paperwork. I was told by the Finance Manger that this would be a 15 minute process. An hour later my companion had to get up and leave, as she had other tasks that needed her attention. I was not so lucky and was there another half hour. This was the period where effort is expended getting one to buy extended warranty, added insurance, non wax/sealer coating and maintenance contract. Ford has some pretty good plans and I did opt for some of them. However the 15 minute statement really turned me off to the Finance Manager, and cost Future Ford of Roseville points in my book. Joey Chacon was just great when it came to sales. He helped and he did not make unfounded promises. He kept his word and followed through. I thought I got a good deal, considering some of the reports I read at bluovalforums.com. I had no problem purchasing through this dealer. I will be interested in seeing how 'Future Ford of Roseville' honors these extended plans, so I figure this is an 'ongoing work in progress'. Pros: Great salesman, no high pressure. Easy laidback information source, when he did not know, he stated so. Cons: Too long in the Finance Manager's office.

Future Ford proved to be an excellent place for servicing my Escape Hybrid. I had received a coupon for a free 1st oil change at the 3 month, or 3,000 mile point. I took my hybrid in at 2500 miles and 3-1/2 months. No problems, a speedy oil change while I sipped coffee and read my 'Owners Manual'. The shop even offered to wash the car free after they finished the oil change. I went over the maintenace schedule with the Service Advisor and looked at the computerized information that I can access the Ford Owner web site concerning my Escape SUV Hybrid. Excellent feature. The work was completed quickly and tires, fluids, battery, filters were checked. I figure the vehicle check at no charge was similar to the one I had been paying $20 for at Firestone. Nice touch Future Ford. I like that the technicians have the tools, knowledge and experience with the Escape Hybrid and am even willing to pay a little extra for that expertiese. That big battery is about a $10,000 item and the computer-transmission-electric motors-internal combustion engine interface is complex. After visiting the Future Fore Service Department I have confidence in their ability to service my Escape Hybrid in the most economical manner over the long haul.
