I went to Livermore Ford to buy my first Ford ever (also my first new car). I decided to give Ford a chance since reviews of the Ford Focus were great, and I wanted to buy from an American company, and most of all because on their website they had a weekly ad that said they were offering $0 down and 0% financing for new cars. I was literally ready to drive home in a new Ford Focus. The sales associate told me the Ford Focus did not qualify for the $0 down and 0% financing offer because it is too new. I told him the ad did not specify it was limited to certain models, and the General Sales Manager asked me to show him the ad. I told him it is on their website, and he looked it up, and told me it expired on July 4th (there was indeed a very tiny expiration on the bottom of the page). I told him that is misleading and false advertising, since today is July 8th and the ad is still running on the site under weekly ads. He told me that they don't come off right away. I exclaimed "Give me a break!" and he looked at me and very nastily exclaimed "YOU give me a break!" I asked him for his regional manager's contact information, and he told me he did not have that information, and told me to call Ford customer service if I have a complaint. First Ford experience of my life, and I walked away feeling like I had just been through an airline experience. Customer service and honesty do not seem to be high on their list.
