It really depends on where in TX and how many surrounding dealers there are. If you're like me in Midland with the next closest dealer hours away, you're SOL ;)

I went ahead and just bought it. I've already delved into the wallet-emptying world of mods so I'd rather I'd do it on a car I own than am just leasing.
Good deal @ Momentum - Houston, TX
by dinnu on Sun Jun 15 18:32:32 PDT 2008
I got a pretty good deal (I think) at Momentum on HWY 59 in Houston, TX for a car that was already on the ship. Here are the details: Black Sapphire Metallic 335 Sedan Terra with Dark burl interior Premium package Auto Trans Sirius Satellite MSRP: $44,620 Invoice: $41, 695 including Maco ($400) and Training ($180) Selling Price/Cap Cost: $40, 995. Lease Details: Base MF + .00015 with $725 acquisition fees. I know I could have haggled a little bit more on the lease MF/acquisition fees, but decided to give in. Note that these are pre June 1 prices as the car was already produced. This deal was possible b'cos of the $1210 option credit for automatic transmission. I sent an email to all the dealers in Houston asking for a quote on a car with specific options. No one had the exact car I was looking for, but this was close. Advantage BMW in midtown also gave an offer of $500 over invoice (plus $1210 option credit) on any car in stock, but didn't have anything close to what I was looking for. The entire negotiation was done via emails (and took almost a week). My CA didn't even have my phone # until I went into place a deposit on the car. I also got a quote for $700 over dealer cost for an ordered car from Momentum.
New 550 in
by chile96 on Tue Jun 03 21:23:21 PDT 2008
Just got word that my new 550 was delivered today and I get to pick it up tomorrow. I got nearly every option including the M5 aerodynamic pkg which is pretty sweet looking. They're also adding the little rear lip spoiler in the morning. I was going to buy it but then got to thinking that they;ll probably come out with some super engine that makes the 550 archaic and have the prices dive so I've considered the idea of leasing - does this make any sense. AND....a Ferrari 328 GTB just happened to pop up and I'm getting a PPI on it tomorrow. If it's as good as they claim it be, I'll soon have the GTS and GTB matching side by side in my garage ;)
