Buying a car from a BMW Car Dealer
I actually think it is a bit overpriced; especially in today's economy. I guess they don't need the business. Maybe they will come back to you, but if not, you'll find another one. Just my two cents... Stacy 2004 330i/w performance package, 6-spd, alcantara, hk, cold weather package, etc... LOVE IT!!! (5th BMW)
Calm down... More power to everyone who can actually afford to purchase a BMW. I just know, down here (South Texas) that most people cannot afford to actually purchase one, which is why they lease them. That is from numerous BMW sales people who flat out tell me this. Their goal is to get people into BMWs no matter what it takes. So down here a lease is "affordable" for people and they just want to say they drive a BMW. All the cars are ordered the same way; automatic, premium package, and that's about it... Don't get in a tiff again, I know, that is how some people want their cars. That is just how they sell them down here... I agree though, no matter if you purchase or lease, you should look at the selling price. If you are not careful, they'll do their best to screw you over on the lease terms. Again, know some BMW finance people; that is where they make their money...
Most people cannot afford to "purchase" a BMW which is why they lease. They also are not TRUE BMW fans, they just want the name and that is one way to get it. ;o)
The process is EASY... However, if you are looking to still get an '06 you might be out of luck. Oh wait, that is if you want the coupe. (nevermind). I've ordered BMW's before and you just have to make sure they order what you want. Get printouts, make them give you a production number, etc... Just keep in touch with your salesman... You'll then be able to track it through production, shipping, delivery, etc... Stacy
While I'm posting... I went and drove an '05 330ci with performance package. It has the cold weather package and xenons as the other options. Only 5500 miles. They are asking 40k. What do you think a fair price is for the car. $40k is a bit high to me when I think if I haggled enough, I can get on '06 for close to that. Opinions are appreciated... Thanks Stacy
