Quoted anywhere between $600.00 and $2500.00 off $63,000.00 MSRP by TN and NC dealers on a 2008 550i. Fees range from $0.00 to off the chart.
Out-Of-State Lease
by timmboj on Mon Jun 25 15:10:46 PDT 2007
Does anyone know how I can figure out how the taxes get paid on an out-of-state lease? Like, if I'm in Tennessee, and I lease a vehicle in Texas and bring it back to Tennessee, how does it all work out? Does the dealer handle this? Or do I need to ask Tennessee government officials what the procedures are? Seems like it would be an easy thing for dealerships to handle, but I want to know so there aren't any surprises. Thanks!
Fighting Chance

When the time is right, I think what I'll do is create my own fair deal lease and send it to my local dealer. Giving them the option of meeting MY requirements for a lease (or at least getting close) before venturing into markets outside of my city. Sort of like the fightingchance.com fax attack, except the calculations have already been done to my specifications. This way they'll know I'm an informed consumer, and hopefully keep the negotiating shinanagins to a minimum. If my one-BMW-dealership town rejects my offer, then I can send the same to outside markets and let them fight it out. Has anyone out there tried this approach?Bright idea? Or not?

From your comment on back-seat air bags, it sounds as if you are ordering this vehicle. If this is the case, I've heard the deals aren't as sweet as they might be on a vehicle already sitting on the lot. I've got two strikes against me -- 1. I'd need to special order mine because I want the six-speed manual (I'll never find one of those sitting on the lot around here), and 2. I live in a one-BMW-dealer town (no competition).

What is a Disposition Fee?
2006 X3
by xchicagoan5 on Mon Oct 30 15:18:44 PST 2006
There seems to be a fair amount of 2006 X3s on the market with 2007s arriving and being sold or presold. Back in 2001, I bought my X5 4.4i this way. I waited until the initial model year run was over and got a great deal. What kind of deal can I expect to get on a 2006? The deals seem to be fairly good on the 07s - well below MSRP in many cases. An 06 deal should be great, shouldn't it?
