Re: 36 Month/15K mile X5 3.0si Deal in Pittsburgh, PA? [ostexo]

Welcome ostexo. Let's take a look at the deal that you were offered. The dealer invoice price of the 2008 X5 that you described is $47,515. The selling price that you were offered is $1,785 over invoice. That isn't bad, but there's still some room there. It wouldn't hurt to comparison shop if there is another BMW dealer or two in your area to see if you can beat this offer. Also, make sure to stop by the "BMW X5 Prices Paid and Buying Experience" discussion to see how much other community members have paid for similar trucks lately. Once you arrive at a selling price that you are comfortable with, have the dealer that gives it to you calculate your monthly payment using BMW Financial Services' buy rate lease money factor of .00270 (for non-returning customers who pay a security deposit at lease signing) and you're in business. The fees that you mentioned in your post look about right to me. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
36 Month/15K mile X5 3.0si Deal in Pittsburgh, PA?
by ostexo on Tue Jan 08 20:18:30 PST 2008
Hello, As a new user to the forum and a prospective X5 buyer I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some input as to this deal one dealer is offering us on a 2008 X5 3.0si in the Pittsburgh PA area: The vehicle includes: Cold Weather Package Premium Package Rear Climate Package iPod and USB adapter MSRP $51,625 Sell for $49,300 15K miles per year 36 Months 58% Residual $0 Down Total initial charges are: Disposition fee: $350.00 Security Deposit: $900.00 Acquisition Fee: $625.00 Fees and Insurance: $158.50 Upfront Taxes: $62.50 Total Initial Charges: $2599.85 Base Payment: $776.23 Total Payment: $853.85 per month This vehicle is on their lot, so there isn’t a dealer trade situation or custom order issue. The MSRP reduction seemed a little low to me and the initial fees don’t look right to me, although I will have no problem paying for them if they are legitimate fees. Any comments would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I live in the Pittsburgh Penna area most of the year. I also live in the central Florida area around 3 months of the year. I am looking to buy a 2007 BMW station wagon 4-wheel drive. I am planning way ahead. I will be ready around september. Any good experience about dealers in these areas--both price and service would be helpful. Let me know. Thanks
330i lease
by mattress1 on Tue Mar 28 20:25:55 PST 2006
Thanks to the info on this board I was able to negotiate a lease (in Pittsburgh, Pa) for a 330i with auto, premium pkg., sport pkg., and sat.prep (MSRP $42,455)for 36 months, 10K/yr. $490 plus tax. Only payment at delivery is first payment and plate. Negotiated with 3 local dealers. Found that internet sales quotes were not the dealers' bottom line. Quite a bit of additional haggling required to get a fair price.
What do you think?

I saw an ad today in the local paper. 2006 X3 auto/AWD 36 months/10K miles per year for $399 month + taxes/tags with nothing down but a $400 security deposit. It doesn't list all the options or the MSRP so I emailed the dealer for more details. Even without all the details it seems like a pretty good offer. What do you think?
$700 over invoice for 06 330xi in Pittsburgh, PA
by lfbmdpc on Sat Dec 24 16:59:05 PST 2005
Asked for quotes from P+W, Rahal & Sewickley BMW dealerships in Pittsburgh, PA. Paid $700 over edmund's dealer invoice + MACO/prep&mats (total of these = $444.15) on 06 330XI, 6 speed, premium, sport, heated seats from Rahal BMW in Pittsburgh PA (final deal = $40,305.15 plus tax/plate fee). Told my initial offer of $800 over invoice was "stupid" by salesman at P+W BMW (this from a salesman/dealership where I have bought 5 cars in 10 years-needless to say they won't see me again). Sewickley BMW, where I've also bought a number of cars in the past, was not very aggressive in pursuing deal (for instance they underbid initial Rahal counter-offer by only $4). Very happy with deal, especially with responsiveness of sales personnel at Rahal BMW.
