There are a number of pictures out - and the new model will be much better lines than the existing 5 series.. (I own a 2007 530i). If you can wait - bet the new designs are out in 6-8 months.

I have decided to wait for 7-8 months for new body style which is due in early 2010. That car will depreciate pretty fast once new body style is out. Think one is better off buying a 1-2 year old used model than 2010 given pending new design.

My last call which was 2.5 months prior to lease end, they said, BMW FS does not negotiate residual values. I am not three weeks left on a 2007 BMW 530i - and want to figure out how to do. How did you ask the question? The dealer has NO incentive to work in your favor. If the car is in good shape, low miles, etc., he would rather buy from BMW FS at auction rate since they get first shot, then certify and make a quick $5000+.

For those in the Charlotte market, if you are looking for a deal on BMW, I would recommend going to other dealerships that within reasonable driving distance, since my experience in Charlotte was less than stellar.
