Re: 2011 535i, new, for 53K [rodb2] by phylp on Sat Jan 07 09:50:09 PST 2012

rodb2: The options you state, at the price you quote, sound great to me. The Premium packages, plus Sport approaches "M" re: the drive and feel. This is the exact kind of deal I would want myself, but I will keep on driving my '08 535i because I am just so satisfied with the car. I am a big believer in buying cars at the end of the month. If you let the deal lay until then, you might come out better -- in my experience. Congrats on getting to where you are on an awesome ride. phylp

2012 BMW 535i lease deal by undertaker3675 on Sun Dec 25 19:43:51 PST 2011

I've never owned a BMW but am considering my first. A 2012 BMW 535i; Black Sapphire with venetian beige, equiped with Premium Package, Technology Package, Cold Weather Package and satelite readio. The MSRP quoted by Dealer is 59,325 with selling price of 55,200. A lease for 3 years at 15K a year I was quoted 888.48 including the 3% rental tax in NC. No money down was required nor security deposit, only out the door charges were first months payment and tag transfer fees. Is this a good deal?

Addu: Congrats on a very good deal. I am driving an '08 535i and loving it. But, I am considering trading to a 2011 model similar to yours. Muchas gracias for the post.

It is definietly fun to pick it up at the NC factory. You get to really push the vehicle to its limits and trust me you'd be suprised on what this luxury SUV can do. To your second Q, the dealer doesnt really matter. If the dealership has allocation thats all that matters. Q3: The best you can probably go is 8% less than MSRP (which is around invoice) but it will be hard to find any dealer who will sell you a car for invoice I think. Not sure how aggresive dealers are on a new X5. I'd say offer $1000 over invoice is a good place to start. Make ur questions short and ask if they'd want to sell a car for you for $1000 over invoice, if they say yes, you stick with them, if they say No u move on. What options you choose doesnt matter for this question. As far as i know the deal gets approved when you physically get the car, not when u put the order in because some people do cancel the order after the car has been made. I'm not 100% sure about how the sales people get credit for a sale.
