the tax on the lease payment varies according to state statue. In NJ, it used to be only on the portion you rent or lease. After that tax mess a few years ago, it became on the whole amount for example. check the laws in your state.

question here is what is the mf you are being charged and how they calculated the out of pocket costs? Aquisition fee is $625, but can be marked up to as much as $825. Dealer may try to mark up MF by .0004, so watch out for that. Also, verify the invoice cost. Another good site to check besides this one is bimmerfest.com. You should run the number through a lease calculator to get a sense of whether the numbers work out. Also, does your lease payment include the 7% NJ tax? I bought a very similarly equipped 528xi in Feb except I didn't get satellite. I got in on $2500 trunk money and while I'm leasing for 36 mos. it's for 12k miles per. My payment is $650 including tax. Only other caveat is my residual as higher then what they are charging now. At first blush this deal sounds decent, but running the numbers will tell.

June residual for 528 xi is 69% for 24 mos. 10K. I saw that the residual for 528 was 70% for 24 mons 10K, as per another forum. I saw you are from NJ. Lot's of dealerships to chose from. Lot's of competition. Which dealership did you go to, if you don't mind my asking? :D

is this at Morristown BMW? I am asking since a few months ago I recall a CA there emailing me about a similar car when I was looking. I think you should see the best deal you could get on a NEW 535xi similarly equipped. People are getting good deals and there is alot of competition in NJ since there are so many dealers. Also if you want an XI who is looking to buy those in the Spring? Good Luck and let us know how you make out! :)

why is it still around i would ask myself? I would check the vehicle history to ensure that there is nothing funky going on here. You should be ablel in NJ especially to get a 2008 328 for $500 over invoice. There are so many dealers to play off without alot of work. A friend got a 335 similarly equipped for only 500 over invoice.
