Hmmm, while it's not "apples-to-apples", the numbers that I've run seem to indicate that only the 3-Series wagon is being left out in the cold. True the 3-Series sedan may well be seeing slightly lower numbers than say the 3-Series coupe or any of the 5-Series cars, but geez, the 3-Series wagon numbers are so high that I'm actually wondering if we shouldn't pony up an get a 5-Series wagon. BTW, I haven't looked for leasing numbers for so long that I actually don't know where to look for money factors and residuals. ;) Best Regards, Shipo

Ya wanna know what sucketh even more? I just checked the lease price differences between a tarted up 535i and a 535xi Sport Wagon, both of which were configured to exactly $61,625. Guess what? They're identical, $647 for a 3-Year/36,000 mile lease and $679 for a 3-Year/45,000 mile lease. Looked at another way, configured apples to apples, the 328xi Sport Wagon that Mrs. Shipo is looking at comes out to $45,400 while an identical (from an option perspective) 535xi Sport Wagon comes out to $61,625, roughly 35% more. So far, so good, however, after calculating the lease prices given the ED discounts and such, I come up with 3-Year/36,000 mile and 3-Year/45,000 mile monthly lease prices of $548 and $571 for the 3-Series and $647 and $679 for the 5-Series, differences of only 18% and 19% respectively. So, the question is, why is BMW-FS picking on the 3-Series Wagon compared to virtually every other 3-Series and 5-Series car? Best Regards, Shipo

Thanks Walt. ;) Given how steep the lease rates are for the Wagon, we may just pay cash for the darned thing. Grrr. Best Regards, Shipo
