I sent e-mails to all the dealers within 50 miles, took the lowest price to the dealer I wanted to buy from, and told him if they matched it I would buy from them. They did, so I did. It really didn't take much work - I got $1,500 over invoice without even trying hard at all. Maybe the market is different in your area, but the approach is worth a shot. Let them know that you're ready to buy, and let them know the exact car you want. The list I e-mailed to the dealers included the item name, MSRP, and invoice cost. Dunno if that makes a difference, but it's what I did. Good luck!

The car is complete, and as of yesterday is on the way to the boat. I should have it in a few weeks. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I think I got around $1,500 over invoice.
