Re: Bought 528i CPO [asterix4]

Hi asterix4, Do you mind sharing the dealership information? I'm also looking to buy a 08 5 series, and your purchase price seems to fit my buget. But all the dealers in DC area seem to ask for a much higher price. Did you negotiate hard to get 33600? Thanks a lot.
328i coupe Lease-DC

New to the forum. I am looking for a 2009 328 coupe with automatic, prem, heated seats, bluetooth and IPod adapter. 3 years 15K miles per year. 1) I've contacted a few dealers and received some ballpark numbers including...$6600 down with $435 per month. I have been unable to have them send me the exact numbers (Residual, MF etc)Does this down payment sound extremely high?? I am comparing this to the recent ad and understand my specs are somewhat higher but $6600 down?? 2) I've also working on receiving a quote from a Lease Broker (still in process) I've been told that the residual would be for 44%. Does this seem low? What is the residual value for 36 months 15K? What can i expect on a monthly and total down payment? Also, can anyone recommend a respectable lease broker? Sharing your experiences is much appreciated.

Gar, I'm starting to doubt those 2 DC dealerships! They told you the $1K lease cash was universal, and NOW they're telling you the $825 lease inception fee is universal?? Just so you know, I'm 99% sure that BMW Financial requires a $725 fee, but dealerships are allowed to mark that up. Many dealers DO charge $925, including all 3 here in my area. I was planning to negotiate an additional $200 off my cost, but the dealer offered me free window tint instead.

Cotmc- re your lease inception fee, I was quoted $825 from 2 DC dealers who said it was universal. And I was just informed by one yesterday that BMW has new terms coming out today. Maybe they will go $2K lease cash here too? to answer your question, my quote was a 12K - 36 mo . What do u think?

A DC dealer i was in yesterday told me that lease cash is the same everywhere in the US and is $1K. A second dealer I'm working with said the same thing and went on Chapmans web site and said they were offering different deals than others were, but the lease cash was still $1K. He's offering me a 328i w/leather , premium package, auto, heated seats, (no GPS) and ipod adapter for $40,550 - $1525 down and $500/mo taxes fees included. What do u guys think ? Carman?? .

Yes. As I mentioned, the dealer showed a full $2K adjustment on my lease paperwork. Two different local dealers confirmed this $2K incentive to me before I leased my car. Because two different BMW dealerships in the DC area told you $1K, this must indicate these BMW lease incentives are NOT the same across the country. If so, then this is certainly nothing new. Perhaps our region has a higher inventory of remaining '09 models than yours? Within the past couple years, I've seen (and confirmed) up to $1000 differences in factory incentives with both Toyota and Nissan, just between Arizona and California -- two adjacent states!! In those cases, the inventives were better in CA than here.
