2010 BMW M3 Sedan

I have been waiting for this car for 2 months. My old 2007 335i was lemon lawed due to too many problems with the high pressure fuel pump BMW's are having on the turbo engines. So anyways, this beast just arrived at the port in Cali 11-20-2009. No clue on how long customs and getting it from Long Beach, CA to San Diego will take. Maybe 2 to 5 days is my guess considering I had the dealer put a priority 1 on the shipment from the preperation center. My question is I have a quote of $500 over invoice and a Money Factor of .00290. So if you times that by 2400 you would get 6.96% converted into an interest rate, That doesn't seem so bad. I am just wondering before I go pick up the car sometime next week....Should I be concerned about the money factor at all? This is a 2yr lease at 10K per year. Thank you for your time.
Was this a good deal?

A bit ago, probably about a month or so (October 10th or just about then) I helped my friend get him a 2009 BMW Z4 30i. MSRP $50,600. When all was said and done, he ended up with $499/month inc. CA 9.75% tax/title/reg with $1,000 driveoff (including first month's, dealer fees, and anything else you can think of.) The term limits are: 10k/yr 30 month lease Just wanted to know if I did a decent job for my friend or not. If you need any other info, I'll deliver it.

Re: California emissions for used car purchase [neprop]

you are most welcome, neprop. fwiw, in early-1990s there was a $300 per-vehicle fee for registering a used car in CA if the previous reg was out-of-state. It was ruled an illegal fee and many folks got refunds. I'm not sure if the state has since figured a way to re-assess such a fee legally, but it's probably just a matter of time!

as far as i understand, it doesn't matter whether a used car meets CA emissions or not , you can still register it in CA just as easily. as long as it has more than 7500 miles...
