Regarding which dealer i went to: I went with Weatherford BMW in Berkley. BMW of San Francisco was in the running to. Both met each others price. We brought in emails of specs and quotes. Both wanted evidence of each others lowest deal. Good luck and plse let me know how it went

Hello group, My employer wants to lease me a car with a budget of 1,100 a month for 24 months. I am interested in a 550i. No money down.I am in San Francisco, CA. Do you think this is possible? I am beginning to do my homework on leasing, etc. I still want to get the best deal possible and look foward to this as an exercise in learning about leasing. My strategy - identify exactly what options I would like. (Almost done) Make a list of all dealers within 100 miles. Contact all dealers to make an offer? what do you think?

For bay area buyer ONLY!! Take over my lease with ONLY 1000 miles on it. The car comes with automatic transmission, sports package, paddle shift, Navigation system, real time traffic information and real leather seat. MSRP for this vehicle is $46775 and I brought it on $44500. The vehicle exterior comes with very RARE Montego Blue with Black leather interior. I purchased this beauty on 09/03/07 at Weatherford BMW Berkeley, yes, you are right, this car is ONLY 1 month old. Monthly payment is $640 and 22 months left on current lease. Mileage allowed is 12K a year. Buyer need to pay $450 for lease transfer fee to BMWFS and of course your credit need to be approved by BMWFS as well. If you interest to take a look this car, please email me at nicky1006 at hotmail. Thanks

1v1, I think you are paying high. What is your money factor? I think your MF is high. Be careful, sometimes they give you discount over MSRP but increase MF. I was offered $1200 over invoice. $1342 as down payment & $873 a month on X5 3.0 Invoice price: 51k. It was at BMW of San francisco. I'm looking for $1000 over invoice & MF of 2.3. I can go to ANY BMW in CA if I am given this.

Hello all, I've been "lurking" here during my research phase, and it's finally time to post! As my 1994 740iL is about to roll over 200k miles, I've been shopping committedly for a 2002-3 X5 for about a month now among dealerships, private parties, used car lots (yuck). I'm located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have been shopping as far as Arizona, Oregon & Nevada. The used car lots were quickly eliminated as an option. Prices, lack of car records & trust-factor took care of that. Private Parties offered better pricing and records, but warranties were often on their last miles or months. For me, warranty is critical, as my 740 has taught me well! (Since warranty expired eons ago, I've spent more on maintenance than the car cost me originally!) So the Dealership CPOs were the most attractive, but there was little room for negotiation. However, the warranty offered (generally 2 years +/-) was enticing. Just when I was about to purchase a Dealership CPO (02s and 03s ran $30-36k out the door, depending on mileage), I came across a private owner who had bought a Dealership Lease-return CPO in spring 2005 (8 months ago), and "got in over his head" on the loan. The car has the CPO warranty through Oct 2008/100k miles! So here's what I've landed, and I think it's a fair deal. I hope the value-gurus here will agree! 2002 X5 3.0i • Mileage: 53k • BMW Certified/Extended Warranty • Interior Color: Black/Grey Sport Leather • Exterior Color: Steel Gray Metallic • Transmission: Automatic/Steptronic • PREMIUM Package • SPORT Package • REAR CLIMATE Package • COLD WEATHER Package Option Details: *PREMIUM Package has power glass moon roof, wood trim, 6-way power passenger seat, adjustable rear seat back, rain-sensing windshield wipers, front climate control, on-board computer, leather upholstery *SPORT Package has star spoke alloy wheels, M sport steering wheel, sport (self-leveling) suspension, anthracite headliner, sport seats (Leather) *REAR CLIMATE Package has rear door sunblinds, rear climate controls, privacy glass *COLD WEATHER Package has heated front seats, headlight washers, ski bag Description: EXCELLENT Condition- Clean CarFax reflects lease, then CPO. I got the above for $24,500, including the factory warranty (original extended) through Oct 2008/100k. I'm a happy camper, I hope justifiably so! Look forward to your input. M1
