Re: 06 525i Year End Lease Deal [maptheway]

Here is the story : If you had paid the security deposit, that would have reduced the MF of .0016 by .00015. You are able to pay a maximum of 5 security deposits, each of which will reduce the MF by .00005, which means the total possible reduction is 0.0025. This will make a significant difference in your payment. I know of only one dealer here in Northern CA who will even readily admit to the above. But, even my dealer will not back down on the Bank Rate :-) The best thing in your case would have been to custom order a car. That way you get exactly what you want. If you have not signed on the dotted line yet, I would strongly advise you not to do this deal. The base MF is 0.0016 for December 2005 for the 24 month term. The dealer is not under any obligation to give you the base rate, but this mark up seems huge. Also, if you pay the fully refundable security deposit, it reduces the MF by 0.00015. My 0.02$.

Greetings.... How much is a fair price over invoice these days for a 2005 X5 4.4i ? Is $1000 over invoice too much of a stretch ? Any input or experiences greatly appreciated .... :)
