Audi A4 Quattro Premium: $470/month 36 months
by ematts on Fri Jun 26 18:31:55 PDT 2009
So, it's now Friday and I have the weekend to decide on this. I was offered the following deal: A4 Quattro Premium Quartz Gray Bluetooth Homelink iPod interface Rear/side air bags NO heated seats My cost $470/month, $400 out-of-pocket. 12,000 miles/year for 36 months. I'm not a big car shopper and wanted to know how I did? I think the sticker was $35,750 which was the highest priced Premiums they had on the lot.

Yes. I'm aware the LEDs don't come with Premium. However, I'll never see them. And the dealer wasn't making any deals on Premium Plus.

Bad Audi lease experience

Hi all, I pulled the trigger on the 2009 Audi 2.0T Premium Plus on Saturday and it has been a comedy of errors ever since. I recommend NOT using Don Rosen Audi in Wynnewood, PA (Philadelphia area). The dealership is only months old and the salespeople are pretty inept. First I was not told about the $650 Audi care that was on top of the negotiated selling price. Then I find out that my car is on some holding lot in Rhode Island and I can't take delivery for a week when I had cancelled a flight and made plans to drive instead for a vacation. I ended up getting a silver car instead of black because I couldn't wait the extra days. Then, when the salesperson came to pick me up (granted that was nice) I find out that my car is not going to be ready tonight and we are just going to fill out paperwork and he wants me to go back to the dealership tomorrow to pick up the car. He did not think to inform me of this in advance which is completely unacceptable. In the end, we did paperwork tonight and he is driving my car to me tomorrow but I still feel pretty shafted given that I agreed to a very fair price and money factor.

Amy Before you decide to lease an Audi, configure one from the Audi web site or, preferably, the Edmunds.com web site. This will tell you not only MSRP on your desired vehicle but also invoice. Armed with this information, find out what your money factor is from the dealer in Pitt that you spoke with. Find out whether they are using Audi's money factor of 0.00139 or not (without giving away that you know what it is). Ask them what residual value they are using for 12,000 miles/yr. The residual is important because you are paying for the difference between what the car was worth when the lease began and what it will be worth at the end of the lease. PA tax - I used to live in Philadelphia and I could swear Philadelphia county tax was 7%, is Pitt that different? Get all the facts without committing to anything then come back to this forum and post and discuss.

Enticed by K. Gary's posts #56 and #68, above, I visited Danbury Audi, today, spoke first with a salesman I know there, and then he and I spoke with that dealer's sales manager and two other salesman. They were quite distressed, as was I, by what in their view was the falacious assertion that they'd offerred anyone a $4,000 discount off MSRP on a 2005 A6 4.2 sedan. I told them that the usefulness of Edmunds' town hall forums was based in large part on the integrity of the information posted by all those who participate. Presumably, other readers who contact any of the other dealers K. Gary referred to will learn of his falsehoods from them as well!!
