Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
No problem Jake. Thanks for the pricing info. OK, let's crunch some numbers and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2012 A5 Coupe Prestige that has an MSRP of $48,375 and a selling price 45,473 through Audi Financial Services right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $679. Can you please confirm the residual and money factor for 2011 Audi S4 Premium Plus S-Tronic? Dealer is claiming rates went up on May 10 - residual at 52% (53% with Audicare) and money factor 0.0018 for 36 months/15K miles. Other than that, I think the deal looks OK MSRP $54,580 My Price $52,108 Final question, Audi care is $800 - how much do you think I can get off of this one?
Bought my 2011 Premium Plus A4 FWD for $100 over invoice this weekend. Dealer fee was a rip ($600) but the lowest Audi dealer fee around here is $400. Since they had the EXACT build I wanted (Brown + wood + B&O), I was willing to pay the higher doc fee. Incidentally, there was no real haggling. The salesman said point blank: 'We realize shoppers know what's out there and where else they can buy. We want to make a few hundred over invoice.' and handed us an accurate Invoice vs MSRP printout. I'm still new to the whole CVT thing, but it seems OK so far. The only thing I was attracted to on the 'quattro' was the 8-spd tranny. I'm sure it grips better and maybe accelerates better (or not) but at the end of the day , I only require so much power and the FWD moves plenty fast enough for me. Getting an extra mpg and spending 1-2 grand less made more sense for me living in the south.
OK, I have made the decision that I will lease an Audi.....now I'm trying to figure out which one to lease! I'm going back and forth between the A6 and the S4. Can someone help me determine the key points of difference? Here are the basics that I am assuming: A6 is bigger and roomier on the interior S4 is quicker/faster, but smaller Both are equally reliable Are these fair assumptions? What other key factors should I consider?
My 3 year lease on my 2007 Q7 will be over on April 1. My buyout number is around $27,300 (the same as my mileage) I have someone who wants to purchase the vehicle for $29,500. The only catch is that I can't transfer the car to him on paper. I would have to buy it from Audi and pay the California sales tax. and then he would buy it from me and pay the sales tax again. How do we get around this. He is willing to pay my payoff amount and the sales tax and I would pocket around $2,000. Both of us are OK with this. But we don't want this deal to be double taxed.
