Thanks for the reply urbanaudi. It seems really high to me too. They claim its the state, and that other areas may have more incentives or a bigger market, hence lower rates. It seems, though, that everywhere else I look (other states) they are all in the 400's or at most, very low 500's. Is NC that bad right now? If anyone else has some info, please let me know. hi jr-nc, that looks too high to me but i am no expert, just from what i have seen here so far. i beleive in the 400's per month is more like it from what i have seen-- the November MF rates may have dropped lower than they were before! I have to ask the dealer to be sure but they said it might have dropped from October rates, making it lower monthly payments than before.

The deal seems OK. If the dealer has the car sitting on the lot, there seems to be possibly some more negotiation room. Many folks are getting the Q7 for $500 over invoice. As for your lease, the rule of thumb is to never put money down. Your amount is way to high. Given Audi is giving you a sub 1% money factor, it makes no sense to tie up that kind of money in the car lease. Save the $5700 and earn 5% in a money market given the "free" financing. We just spent a similar amout on a Q7 3.6 premium with no money down and are at $695 per month. For $5700 you can save, the exta $90 difference is more than offset in your savings of the down payment. And if you ever decide to break the lease, you haven't lost that down payment.

We'll, your friends situation here in NC is rare one, or maybe he's a good friend of the dealer. That's were I live and a good portion of the dealers are sold out of A8's. A lot of them are going out at MSRP, or maybe a little under if it's something they have in stock. The W12 you bought was probably a left-over 05 at the end of the year. Most dealers will cut a W12 loose at the end of the model year for fear of getting stuck with it. And most dealers won't order a W12 unless it's a special order car. Some dealerships like The Collection in Miami and other high-end markets in southern California keeps several W12's in stock and have more A8's. Audi does things on an allocation basis, and the more you sell, the more you can order next time around.
