Re: HELP - Tips on Lease Return ? [ody02tjk]
by vip9 on Mon Oct 05 07:02:22 PDT 2009
I returned my '07 3 months ago. 1. Audi FS REFUSED to extend my lease on a month-to-month or for a set period - they told me they "were not in business of doing that". I checked my Lease agreement - it was marked "Close-Ended", plus my monthly payments were SUPER-LOW - don't know which one of these factors (or a combination?) affected their decision. Good luck selling it for $35K :) If I REALLY wanted it, I probably could have followed it to the auction and get it for about $20K tops. 2. I called and scheduled EoL inspection in my office. I think they give you 30 or 60 day window. Took about 20 minutes. Car was spotless. He checked paint levels, I guess couldn't believe the condition. Tires right at the border-line - thank goodness - another $1K+ would have been thrown out the window if I had to install BRAND-NEW tires for someone else to use. 3. Inpsector paid EXTRA attention to brakes - mine were "relatively" new 4. Returned to the servicing dealer by my office - all done in 20 minutes as well. Overall - PAINLESS as it can possibly be. Had to pay miles overage @ .25c per + Lease-End fee - I think like $300 WTF!

so far it was smooth . Understand it was the last Q5 2009 in the lot!!, so I had some room to negotiate with them. Trust me they not giving nothing for free. But does'nt hurt to try. Don't show yourself too desperate and don't rush it. Make sure you get what you want. Just curious what are you looking for ?, how much sticker price ? how much are they offering you?.. No audi care. just keep looking around , theres a lot of audi dealers (NY;NJ) I find that classic audi in white plains is giving $1.500 under sticker price on Q5 2010. good luck dwdm
Q5 buying in New york area.

Just sealed a deal on a Q5 '09 White with beige interior premium plus , navigation , 19" wheel (much nicer) , all weather mats (front+back) , rubberized cargo liner and BARRACUDA bike holder for 42.500 . It was the last one in the dealer (floor model). I feel very good about the deal. Very nice salesman (contacted him by phone before i went there. ) Palisades Audi in Nyack , NY (by Tapanzee Bridge) I feel very lucky to find just the right color combo and options I wanted. ( just missed the Bang & Olufsen sound system ) I've been searching for month to get a good deal and i feel I got a GREAT deal. Good luck to everyone looking for a Q5 . Just be patient and visit a lot of dealers.

The A8 is

not a "hot selling" car. Very dissappointing actually. 500 cars is really pathetic. But I do enjoy the exclusivity of my W-12. Only 7 for the entire state of New York.

A reputable dealership in Buffalo NY offered to sell me a 2000 A6 2.7T for 15000 before tax. The car has 64,000 miles on it. They claimed to have had an oil leak fixed (2400$) at the Audi dealership prior to selling me the car. And they told me the brakes may need to be replaced soon although they pass New York State inspection for now. I had the car evaluated by my own mechanic (they werent expecting this), and he told me 1) the turbos were still covered in oil (actively leaking vs just not cleaned off), 2) front brakes need to be replaced, 3) check engine light just came on. If the dealership addresses all these problems do you suppose its a good deal. Or does it sound like the car is going to cause more trouble. I loved driving the A6 and although I can get a newer A4 for the same price, its just not quite the same feeling...... Comments, Suggestions..?
