Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
Hi, I'm new to leasing cars and am looking to lease our first car in December 2011. We live in the NYC metro area (plenty of dealers to choose from!) and have zeroed in on a 2012 Model Year Audi Q5 2.0T Premium Plus, which will likely have an MSRP of approx. $42,000 based on the options we'd like. Two questions - 1. We are looking for a 36 month 10,000 or 12,000 mile lease. What would be a good discount, money factor, and residual value to be quoted for a December 2011 purchase (of dealer inventory, not ordered car)? FICO in high 700s. What are the additional taxes and dues beyond what the dealer will quote? I take it that we will have to pay NY sales taxes on monthly lease payments? I'm tring to get a full picture of one time / month cash outflows. 2. My employer qualifies for the Audi Supplier Discount Program of 6% on MSRP (ex. destination charge). Does anyone know if I'd be able to negotiate additional discounts with the dealer (from the dealer's margin)? I assume that the 6% Supplier Discount is reimbursed by the manufacturer to the dealer so I should be able to negotiate further discounts. Is that right? Regards,
Hey Jerry, where did you get that deal....I am being quoted $525 (starting neg just emailing back and forth) for a 2012; Premium Plus, Quattro, Manual with only Nav and sport package, it is White (no cost paint); 12k miles and I requested no cap cost red in the quote, but they have not gotten back to me about the other fees. I am in the NY tri-state area. So, you gave nothing down (for fees?) nada? That seems like a great price, heck, I guess I dont even have to bring my check book then...
just came back from an Audi dealer and looked at an A5 premium plus, automatic w navigation package. Offered me $3890 up front for taxes, 1st month payment, registration..... then 575/mo including Audicare plan for 42 mos./ 12000mi per yr... How does that sound from the new york city area.....Thx
Hello everyone.... I currently have a 2009 A4 2.0 Sedan Premium Plus with quattro on a lease that expires in November. I am considering turning it in now and getting a new 2012 A4 2.0 Sedan Premium Plus with quattro. I was wondering if this is possible, and if so, what would the August numbers be for the lease, with 12,000 miles per year. I assume I am still eligible for the loyalty program, since this would be my 3rd consecutive A4 lease from Audi. Also, does anyone have any specifics as to how the current "Summer of Audi Event" would impact the new lease. Perhaps Car_Man can tell me how much a monthly payment would be on this vehicle, assuming a .0825 tax rate and a down payment of $2,000. I know that could vary somewhat, depending upon how much discount I can get off of MSRP, but perhaps I can assume $500(??) over invoice. Credit score is 810. Thank you all for your help.
I wanted to share the details of the deal I got on my new car to see if I did well. The car is a 2011 A4 with the Premium Plus Package with the 18" Sports Package ($1450 MSRP), Bang and Olufsen Stereo ($850 MSRP), Chrome Exhaust Tips ($125) and All-Weather Mats ($130? MSRP). The total MSRP for the car is $40,105. For a 39 month lease (which he said gives me the best deal) with $0 down payment and 12K miles per year I am paying $519 a month which includes the NY sales tax of 8.375% included in the payment. I need to give him 1st month payment, bank fee and doc fee of about a total of $1600 at signing. He said that if I want the wheel and tire hazard insurance ($1000) and the audicare ($800) we can roll that in for another $45 (approx) per month on top of the $519. How did I do?
