Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer

MA Audi Car Consumer Discussions

Re: 2007 A4 2.0T CVT 1st time new car buyer [blueboat] by dolsey01 on Thu Dec 21 15:30:20 PST 2006

Audi reliability had gone up in the last few years but, and I mean but, most people on this board will agree that owning an Audi past the factory warranty period can be VERY expensive. You really might want to consider the lease. East Coast dealers charge $140 per hour for labor (At least around Boston). My experience has been at after 50K these cars tend to quickly need repair. If you get a good one, it's not so bad but if you are not so lucky, you can end up being one of the family at your local dealer. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Audi and will proably always have one in the driveway (Our other car is a Honda and has never been to the shop). Just wanted to pass on my experience. You will love driving the car for the first 4-5 years but if you want to keep it for 6-10, really consider an easier and cheaper car to maintain.

Re: Looking at buying a 06 cab... [audi5] by dolsey01 on Tue Aug 08 08:13:39 PDT 2006

I'm not sure about current incentives on CABs. His had 19K and was certified, which for his situation actually worked out better. I'm in the boston area and have had a really hard time getting anything even close to invoice on a sedan. I can't comment on West coast deals, but I would say you got a great deal for the east coast. Good luck with your new car!

2006 A6: first car buy (Told mom and dad I could do this myself) by gojprice on Mon Jul 11 16:03:24 PDT 2005

I am about to ink a deal on a 06 A6... Can any one help me with price advice. E.g., what % off of MSRP and/or how many $ above invoice should I be asking for; or should settle for. Any advice to cure my nervousness would help. Located in north east MA/NH area
