BEST Q5 PURCHASE EXPERIENCE IN NYC AREA
by f5marine1 on Fri Oct 16 14:33:12 PDT 2009
Ok - the Q5 is tough to find and while most dealers are difficult to deal with, I had a completely professional experience from Anchor Audi - ask for Tom C. - I located the vehicle online and closed the deal on the phone for an inbound vehicle. Pricing was very competitive using the Edmunds guide and/or TRUECAR. Do your homework and be prepared to buy. Anchor was beyond professional - if you are not a tire kicker and ready to do the deal call them and get what you want.
General Leasing Questions
by telebump on Wed Sep 02 07:57:43 PDT 2009
Sorry - some newbie questions here on leasing. I've got a 2010 Q5 on order with my dealer with delivery expected in a few weeks. I've always been a buy and hold kind of car buyer, but am now more inclined to keep a car a few years and then trade in to get the newer, better technology that will inevitably come with time. I've never leased a car before but am thinking that may be a better option for me now. My questions are: 1. Does the dealer care if I am leasing or buying? In other words I was planning on buying but if I move to lease will they care? 2. I have a trade in with blue book of about 8K. How are trade-ins factored in, or do you not do a trade in with a new lease? 3. What is "residual" and "MF"? Thanks for all the info.

They were not going to give me loyalty program because my mature date was Jan 14th and the $1500 loyalty stats your return must be by Jan 1st.I sent GM a e-mail stating way I should get rebate He agreed talked to Audi Rep and got it. am a huge Audi fan and both cars I have through Audi Financial. Dealer was honest and this car is hard to find. Audi sales were up 7% last month so they are not coming off cars to much, but most dealers still want to move inventory. Good luck to all.

Re: Purchase at end of lease [megsf]

Hi Meg. The market for used vehicles, even good ones like the A4, has absolutely imploded. It's so bad that many dealers are refusing to take trade-ins because the value of the vehicles that they take in is falling so quickly that they are almost guaranteed to lose money on them. The end-of-term purchase option prices for leases that are ending now were established during a different market. I suspect that at least 90% of them are higher than the actual market values of equivalent used vehicles right now. I personally probably wouldn't exercise my purchase option on a leased vehicle at this point, but it might be worth it to try to negotiate with AFS again. Some times consumers who are shut down in their initial attempt to negotiate their vehicles' purchase prices have better luck if they work their way up the ladder to a manager. Give it a shot, you don't have anything to lose. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
