What's a 2008 Going For?
by buddybrad on Sat Oct 06 14:33:38 PDT 2007
It sounds like people are getting outstanding deals on leftover '07s, but has anyone bought an '08 yet? Reading this topic, folks received anywhere from $3.2K to $8.5K off of an '07 sticker. What can I expect to get off on a '08 A6 3.2Q? Getting the car for below invoice seems very unlikely to me, but my last 2 cars were Bimmers and getting one of those for $1K over invoice is doing pretty good. Then there's the question of Extended Warranty and Extended Maintenance. The salesman said warranty is $1300 depending on the package and maintenance is $690 which just equals BMW's included maintenance. Has anyone negotiated a better deal or bought these from an Internet dealer?

What dealer gave you that quote? Well I guess that would be right because you got the brilliant black which saves you $ vs. going with a pearl etc. That includes the $3750 cash back correct?

I just called a dealership here in Chicago and the guy had the nerve to deny any cash back incentive. Did you get a price online?

Ok. So if I roll the IL taxes etc. in at 9% of invoice + dealer ad fee and 195 port prep fee, what do you think the total monthly payment should be? Also, what does the premier purchase do for me besides avoid Chicago sales tax? Thank you for your prompt response and assistance.
is this guy kidding?

>Why don't you just order a car from the factory and wait 3 months to get it if your a payment shopper? you make an offer, you better are prepared to deliver on it, *especially* if you want to be a brand that stands out from the pack. luxury brands are designed to cater to expectations and if they create this specific one and don't follow through on their promises, they will inevitably ruin their reputation. you sell a car like this as a turn-on for repeat business. the argument you are making is that of someone no more than ten SAT points above grunting and bashing heads with yard sticks. that being said, I am doing my best after reading this thread to get outside financing before buying my a3 or a4 in the chicago area next month. anyone want to recommend a specific dealer?

Is that money factor for a 36 month lease? I was quoted .00095 MF for a 24 month lease. Wasn't sure if that changes with the lease length. I'm trying to get as much information to give to teh dealer when I start to negotiate. Thanks!
