Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
Thanks for getting back to me Car_man. Any updates since July 7?
It's been over a month since rates were posted. Has anything changed since then? I will be in the market in about 2 months and it's looking like the A7 will be my new ride.
No lease. Outright purchase....well a reasonably hefty loan too. Not sure where you're coming from. High document fee maybe? GA is terrible for doc fees on many makes. Its sad too. If you find someone with a doc fee of $300, you're 'lucky'. Just automatic dealer profit built into every sale I suppose.
I'm looking at using a Cash For Clunkers Rebate on an 08 Audi A4 2.0. Local dealer in Atlanta appears to have 10 or so left. Before I contact them, does anyone know what the final incentives were on these? I know that the 2010's are out, and there's $2K or $2,500 on 09's. With it being an old body style, I'll be expecting a decent spread between the 09 prices here and delivery price for an 08. With an extra $1K Audi is now throwing in for CARS deals, I think the $5,500 trade credit will make for a good drive out. But, would like to be armed with any knowledge of marketing allowances that are available or were already paid to dealers on remaining 08 inventory. Any/All help appreciated.
I leased the base model from Rick Case Audi near Atlanta. It was advertised in the paper for $499 plus tax, tags, fees for 10k miles, 36 months. I got it for $549, including 7% tax, tags, all fees, 12k miles, 36 months; Audi pays for the first month; no drive off cost. Here are the details: Vehicle "cost" 37259 Acq fee 625 Gross cap cost 37884 Residual 19946 MF 0.00026 After I bought the car, I asked if the car was a loss leader. The salesperson said, "no, they're able to do the deal because Audi is offering them $3k for each car as long as they sell 20 Q7s and they're passing this on to the customer".
