Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer

CT Audi Car Consumer Discussions

Re: car man, avant 2012 [chiquita] by jodony1 on Wed Dec 14 16:31:43 PST 2011

Hi Chiquita not banana, dear Car Man, Thanks for posting the correct MF and residual of 0.00125 and 59 percent. I just made the following deal on an A4 Avant Premium metallic white plus conv package, style and heated seats only: MSRP 40,300 sales price 38,300 -> at 10k per year, including my taxes $1000 down plus $490 per month. Drive off downpayment plus tags. Hurray! While contacting some dealers to check inventory, one Audi dealer in Greenwich CT (no name) quoted me a much higher 0.00145 and res 55 percent for the exact same car... whether this was deliberate or not I will never know. So thank you Car Man for saving me money! Chiquita you're next. Happy Holidays!

Re: Any change in rate for September? [westside4] by adam0302 on Wed Sep 14 07:35:54 PDT 2011

Hey westside4, Of course I don't really know the "real invoice" price.... you know those shady dealers are never really upfront with you about advertisement fees and etc. However, edmunds lists my invoice as $38,387. My final price was $39,225 (incl destination). It's $838 above 'invoice' and $1500 below the MSRP of $40,775 (incl. destination). It's a pretty good deal compared to some of the dealers who would only give me a $500 discount. I'm in the tri-state area. My dealer was New Country in Greenwich, CT (15 minutes from my house). Newton Audi (In Newton NJ) offered me "a car at invoice" but I found them to be shady and didn't trust them (plus they're 2 hours from me). Hope all this helps. Adam

My Price - Any feedback? by adam0302 on Wed Sep 07 15:03:15 PDT 2011

Hi All, I ordered a factory 2012 Q5, black/black, Premium Plus. Got the dealer down $1500 ($1200 discount plus $300 off for doc fees). MSRP was 40,775, final price was $39,225. According to the significant Googling I've done, it seems that invoice on this car (including destination) is $38,387, so I'm at $838 above invoice. How have others fared with a similar car? I added no additional features above the premium plus line, so I'm curious if others have ordered/purchased this model and trim. My dealer was New County in Greenwich, CT. FWIW, about a month after I ordered the car, I did some further shopping and Audi in Newton, NJ offered me invoice @ $38,387. My dealer at Greenwich was a dick and didn't offer me any further discounts, and I didn't want to push back my order 5 weeks and go with Newton, so I just dealt with it. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks, Adam

Re: 2012 Q5 Invoice Pricing? [uknirmal] by q5man on Sat Jul 09 09:05:29 PDT 2011

My 2012 Audi Q5 2.0T Premius Plus arrived to port of Newark on Friday, July 8th. My dealer "New Country" in Greenwich, CT said my car will arrive to dealer on July 20th. I have not heard anything with the rearview camera issues. I'd hope he would have mentioned that, but won't know for sure until I pick my car up. I was able to get $1500 off and am sure anyone can get the same deal. It's got NAV, smart key, 19 rims, exhaust tips and splash guards. I can"t wait to get it!

Re: The Goodies [art234] by barryend on Thu Apr 16 16:46:27 PDT 2009

I know the Prestige has a lower residual than Premium Plus. I will be paying 645.74 for a Premium Plus, 2.0, Nav, sports package, Black/Black, Audi Care. 36 mo, 15,000 miles, No wood. Tax, fees all in. I think I was getting 51% residual. Delivery is due end of April. Rates may have dropped a bit so rent may go down. Classic Audi Eastchester, NY. I suspect they deal better on in-stock A4s. Not many with Sports package to be had. You can try internet salesmen at many dealerships if you bid your requirements. I would suggest Manhattan Audi and some NJ dealerships. Maybe even Audi of Greenwich CT now that Walter Noel and Fairfield Greenwich hedge fund boys will be rooming with Bernie M soon. I suspect many of the great deals posted on this board are in markets with worse economy than the NYC burbs. I did not go that way since I wanted many test drives and felt loyalty to the salesman and a local dealer. I was tempted to bag the Nav. and get a Garmin for $300 but opted for it anyway. I never heard a B&O. Sports package is completely different ride and steering.
