Audi A4 Lease and Loyalty Program Help Needed
by artcricket on Thu Sep 20 21:59:10 PDT 2007
Dealer is quoting me on a 2008 Audi Quatro 2.0T: 24 months at 68% residual 36 months at 60% residual .00188 money factor. I am in the Sacramento/Bay area/CA part of the world. Car would be $500 over invoice but they have tacked on: destination charge of $775 Sacramento Audi DAA of $189.25 prep and inspection of $195 protection package of $105 They are also offering $750 audi loyalty credit towards cap cost of car but want to tax that to the tune of $61.00. What is happening here? Is there more info you need? Thank you so MUCH! Thanks, Cricket

A lot of people ask questions but I don't know if everyone ever follows up with their end experience. Post your deals folks, as it helps tremendously for the rest of us in negotiating. Here's mine: '06 A4 2.0T 6spd Manual (manuals are getting hard to find) Options/packages: Dolphin Gray metallic w. ebony interior Sunshades Premium Sunroof Tech S-line Titanium MSRP $40,735 Cap Cost $38,663 36 mos. lease at 15k miles/year Zero down with no further cap cost reduction. MF (Money Factor) .00062 or 1.49% 53% Residual Monthly comes to $566.86(including tax) with a total drive off at $937.23 (tax, title, registration, & 1st months rent) Maybe not the best deal, but certainly not the worst. Good luck to everyone else. Edit: This is in Sacramento, CA
Re: MF & Residual for 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro [taitando]
by taitando on Fri Aug 11 16:22:33 PDT 2006
Follow up to my own post (#749). I was able to get the .00062MF and a 53% residual with monthly coming to $566.86 (tax included Sacramento, CA) and total drive off at $937.23 (nothing down, no cap reduction). I saved about $20 bucks from the initial quote, but that's extra gas money for me. That's all folks, I'll post my buying experience on the other board too. Good luck to everyone else.
MF & Residual for 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro
by taitando on Wed Aug 09 22:21:15 PDT 2006
Hi Carman, first of all, thank you for the service you provide. It's very much appreciated. As to my question, I searched but couldn't find the MF & Residual for an '06 A4 2.0T S-line Quattro. Here's what I was quoted: '06 A4 2.0T S-line Quattro (6 spd manual) Dolphin Gray w/ sunshades, Premium, sunroof, tech, cold weather, titanium, and s-line package. MSRP $40,735 Cap Cost $38,663 36 mos. lease at 15k miles/year MF (Money Factor) .00095 or 2.28% 52% Residual $21,182 at lease end. Monthly is at about $588 with total drive off at $900 something (don't remember for sure). Is the money factor correct? I thought it was supposed to be in the .0006 range. The salesman stated the standard MF is supposed to be about 3%. Saleman also said the .00095 quoted was achieved by using the dealer lease incentive to pay down the MF. I'm not sure if I believe him. Should I bite on this deal? I'd appreciate your take. Thanks. P.S. My credit is great and I have no security deposit.
New 2006 Audi S4 Sedan
by _matty on Sat Dec 10 10:22:52 PST 2005
I just bought a brand new 2006 S4 Sedan yesterday from a dealership in Sacramento, CA. I'll give a quick rundown on what I paid starting with the specifics on the car. Color: Black Tranny: Manual Options: Premium package, DVD Nav system, Cold Weater Package, Premium Sound System w/XM, Power Sunshades, Carbon Fiber Trim Dealer asking price: $57,200. Yeah, right. MSRP: $55,770. What I paid out of pocket: $52,800 After taxes and 2 other options I wanted which included Lo-Jack and the CALTEX paint and interior protectant, I paid about $58,200 for the car. I feel that I could have done slightly better, but they had pretty much exactly the car I wanted and I would rather pay 1K more and get what I want as opposed to having to compromise or travel out of the area to another dealer. A manual tranny was a must and there don't seem to be nearly as many of those out there as opposed to the Tiptronics. The dealer seemed to be straight up when he said that sticks are harder to get. They had a bunch of Tiptronics on the lot and I grabbed the only stick they had. I had considered getting a 2005.5, but the manual '06's offer the 40/60 front/rear differential (which is really nice) as well as a few other things. The '06 is also a 4th generation model which means the reliability is probably as good as it's going to get. It's always better to buy a model that's been around for a little while since the manufacturer has had some time to work out the kinks. The sales person seemed to be pretty honest. I don't feel that I got ripped off, but I would like to hear any comments on this issue, especially if someone out there did better. Overall, I spent about 4 hours at the dealership with the test driving, haggling and paperwork. Like I said, I feel that I may have been able to do slightly better on the price, but it is a 2006 model and they are less willing to bend with those. Their fiscal year also ends on 12-15 and the sales person said that's when he gets his last check, so I guess now would be the best time to buy as opposed to after X-mas. I love this car!!!
Re: OK price for '04 S-line w/ 15000miles? [richcream]
by taitando on Wed Apr 06 14:27:07 PDT 2005
The car originally stickered for $49,720.00. And they now have it stickered at $39,750.00. So we are looking at about 20% depreciation within 1 year? Yeah, there's no way I'm paying what they want by any means, and the appraisal from edmunds still seems far fetched. Most of the A6's with similar miles seem to be going for $34k on ebay, but they are not the S-line editions.
