Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
Looking to compare an A4 lease with an MBZ C250 lease. Without getting into the details, it already seems the MBZ wins from a cost and value perspective. Can anyone please post their killer deal on an A4? Am I correct to believe that a higher residual % equates to a lower monthly lease payment?
Hi everyone. I've always used this forum when getting new cars so I thought I'd post what I just leased for informational / comparison purposes. Hopefully this will help someone else out. 2012 A5 2.0T Premium Plus Quattro Coupe in Glacier White Metallic (automatic transmission), black leather interior +Navi +Rear parking sensors +Sports package +19inch 5-Arm Y-spoke alloy wheels +Wheel locks +Exhaust tips (chrome) MSRP: $48,110 Invoice: $44,805 TMW per Edmunds: $46,865 Selling price: $45,240 +Audi care ($800) Gross cap cost: $46,040 Adjusted cap cost: $45,214 Drive off: $2,000 which includes a cap cost reduction of about $825 42 month lease at 12,000 miles per year Base payment: $584.69 ($630 including tax in CA) This is my 3rd Audi from Rusnak in Pasadena, CA. I am pretty satisfied with my deal and the overall experience was actually very painless (similar to when I got my other 2 previous Audis from here) and faster than I expected and experienced in the past. Also test drove an S5 while we were waiting around and was able to take it on the freeway which was nice. Hit 100 mph without a peep from the salesperson.
A good rule of thumb on leasing is the 1% rule, which means your monthly payment should be around 1% of the msrp of the vehicle ASSUMING nothing down. It should include all fees except registration etc... For example, I lease a 2008 A4 convertible for $441/month including CA tax (8.75%) back in 2008...it had a MSRP of just over 45K...my drive off was around 850 (1st month, dmv)...so I was actually less than 1%...which is extremely rare. You are close to 1.4%, which is dreadful...furthermore, NEVER put down a deposit down on a car as common as an A4! You can actually lease a 2011 E350 for less than your quote - a 55k+ car. My current lease is for a 2011 A4 Avant...MSRP of 39500...I got Audicare too...my monthly works out to 436 before tax...so about 1.1% which is solid.
Car man, please help me with getting a good deal on an Audi A5 convertible lease: What would be the difference in the lease payment between a 2012 A5 convertible and a 2011 A5 convertible, similarly equipped (ie, automatic, navigation & satellite package), in CA?? I want a 36 mo lease, 12K miles, zero down. Thanks!!
