Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
Here you go, Al. Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2006 Audi A6 3.2 Sedan without quattro with 12,000 miles per year are .00085 and 46%, respectively. You may find that you are better off taking advantage of the $6,000 dealer cash that is available on this car right now and leasing it through an independent bank. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
Greetings Al. I am sorry to say that it is usually fairly expensive to get out of leases early, especially a whole year before their scheduled end dates. In order to do so you would either have to pay all of your car's remaining payments or have trade it in to the dealer. Even if you are able to trade it in, there is a good chance that it is going to be worth less as a trade than you will have to pay to buy it from the bank that you are leasing it through AND that banks may still want you to pay at least the depreciation portion of your remaining monthly payments. The amount of money that you save on getting a good deal on an A6 now will be eaten up by the cost of breaking your lease before its scheduled end. Also, keep in mind that the cash back that you mentioned is not compatible with Audi's special lease program. So if you lease your new A6 through Audi Financial Services you will not benefit from the dealer cash at all. If I was in your situation, I personally would wait until next year to get a new vehicle. Stevens Creek Audi (audistevenscreek.com) advertised in the SJ Mercury an A4 auto FWD for $31988. MSRP is supposedly $35285. So I called and they said they're not using AFS, they're offering much lower price but using BankOne and maybe Bank of America with slightly higher interest rates (2.5% he claimed). But the options are CVT, Premium Package and Sunroof package. Well if you add these up, the MSRP comes to 33,000-33,500, not 35,285. So the salesman I was talking to either missed some options or the dealer is lying about the MSRP and making it seem like a bigger discount than it actually is. Are other Audi dealers using some third-party financing instead of using AFS, which seems to have good terms for the A4?
The online special offer reflected a $349/mo 2006 A4 2.0 T CVT Sedan with multitronic CVT with Frontrak and Sunroof Package. (See complete details below.) This offer is good through July 5, 2006 so hurry into your local Audi dealer today to take advantage of these winning savings. 2006 A4 2.0 T CVT Sedan $349 per month 36-month lease* --------------------------------------------------- Down payment $1,299 Refundable security deposit N/A Acquisition fee $575 First month's payment $349 --------------------------------------------------- Amount due at lease inception $2,223 Anyone know the MF with this? It looks like a RV of 56% which is higher than the banks' 52-54% that I've seen. Anyone have experience on negotiating the sale price on Audi Fininancing lease specials? TIA.
Need to get some opinions on these ASAP so I'm posting here as well: He's claiming he has to pay to transport these. Both would be 2.0T with CVT or Tiptronic: 1) 2.0T CVT, Quartz/Ebony, Premium, Sunroof, Tech-Bluetooth: MSRP: 35,210 Cap Cost: 33,776 Monthly: 404.52 plus tax Due at least inception: - 1st month: 437.89 - Tax: 51.15 - DMV: 270.00 Bank Fee: 575.00 Doc Fee: 45.00 TOTAL: 1,379.04 2) Quattro Tiptronic, Silver/Ebony, Premium, Sunroof, Tech/Bluetooth MSRP: 37,160 Cap: 35,689 Monthly: 421.55 plus tax (24 months) Due at inception: - 1st payment: 456.33 - Tax: 51.15 - DMV: 283.00 - Bank Fee: 575.00 - Doc Fee: 45.00 TOTAL: 1,410.48 I told him I knew about the AFS terms of 76% and .00139 buy rate. But he didn't identify the MF. ==================== OK, just ran the numbers on leaseguide.com assuming the 76% residual and .00139 MF. Sales tax here is 8.25%. He's about $30-35 high on the FWD and $20-25 high on the Quattro. So he's obviously not using the same MF. The selling prices for both are below the TMV and the Carsdirect prices however. ==================== OK, another dealer has a FWD, Silver with "grey" interior (I think Audi calls it Platinum), Premium, Sunroof and Sirius. MSRP is 34,285 and the selling price quoted is 32,734. Seems good but when I ask him about MF he's using, the monthly or residual, there is no response. But I also let him know that I know about the 75 or 76% and .00139 buy rate. So I would take it he's not interested in selling it at those terms.
