You're gonna wait.. and wait.. and wait.. and wait..

by bshell on 05/04/2021

I don't think anyone at this dealership cares about selling cars that much. Long story short.. ~9+ hours total time sitting at this dealer trying to buy two cars, and it's still not over! ~5 weeks ago, was there for ~3 hours waiting for them to find inventory, looking for keys, trying to find the manager who could appraise my trade-in, waiting for paperwork, waiting to negotiate numbers.. Just waiting. A lot of waiting. 3 hours of waiting.. We weren't able to make a deal, and we decided to part ways. The manager was apologetic over how long the whole process took. "No problem", Every business has a rough day when nothing seems to go right. I won't hold it against them. Yesterday, I went back, because they had EXACTLY what I wanted in stock. They also had another older used car I wanted for my daughter! Again - so much waiting. At the 90 minute mark, they finally managed to find the FIRST car I was after. (Yes, I'd been there for an hour and a half and FINALLY got to actually see the first car I was interested in). Lost keys, couldn't find what lot they were on, you name it. "Okay", I thought, "but surely this will change once I'm ready to look at the brand new Jeeps.. after all, brand new Jeeps are what they do!" Well, another hour later and they still couldn't locate the Jeep I wanted that was in stock. I told them I was just going to leave. At 6:30pm, I finally jumped in a car WITH the salesman, and we started driving around their lots looking for it. Thanks god I did, because he was convinced it wasn't in this one lot -- when I saw it as he was driving off. "WAIT! What's that white one over there?"... "I don't know"... "Is it for sale?".. "I don't know"... "Can we go look at it?".. "Sure." It was the Jeep we were looking for. Except he didn't have the key for it. (Why didn't he grab the key before we left?) So we waited.. NO LIE.. another 40 minutes while he drove back to the dealership to find the key. (It was lost, apparently). Whatever. Then we found out it was in "Shipping mode", so low speed only, and no gadgets work. Whatever. We drove it anyway. Said, "We'll take it!". By now it was 7:15pm. (~4 hours after we arrived, we finally completed the test drive!). Surely once we're READY TO BUY, this will get smoother, right? No. More waiting. Another hour in fact, while numbers got sorted out. Trade-in evaluated. On and on and on.. it's now 8pm, 5 hours in, and I still haven't even seen paperwork, or even an offer on the trade. I still don't even know if we're doing this deal or not. I texted the sales guy and said we were getting hungry, and could we take off for a bit to get some food. He said it would only be a few more minutes. We waited.. Became hangry. (Not gonna lie, when we mentioned being hungry, I really thought the manager would walk out with a gift card for dinner or something, but we never even met the manager.) They asked if we would mind taking one of their loaners. No problem!!... Except he then disappeared for 20 minutes looking for keys and a plate. Shoot me!!!!!! We FINALLY left with the promise that when we returned, everything would be ready, and all the paperwork would be ready to sign. Nope. When we got back, no progress had been made. FYI, AT NO POINT during this entire process did we receive an apology, or an acknowledgement, that this was unusual. Radio silence on this being major messed up. And then... 6 hours and 20 minutes after we arrived, they were finally ready. We signed. THEN we were informed that the brand new Jeep couldn't be taken home because they couldn't figure out how to get it out of "shipping mode", but we could still take the other car home, and they would deliver the Jeep to me bright and early the next morning. We were exhausted. Fine. Whatever. It's now noon the next day. Well past "bright and early", and the vehicle is still not here. Will it ever arrive? God only knows. ... And still, not even so much as an apology that this whole process has been utter hell.. or any attempt to make it right. Stay!!!! The hell!!!!! Away!!!!!!!!! (Just to add.. this wasn't the fault of my poor sales guy.. he did great through the process)

Dealership fraud on the disabled!

by Chrysler200DefraudedbyDealer on 11/13/2019

Airpark Chryler Dodge Ram Jeep 7801 E Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260 GENERAL MGR = Coy Pointer MVP - MOPAR VEHICLE PROTECTION = $599.99 CON/RIP OFF, as dealers service dept just "CHOOSES" not to do work that is prepaid for under these plans. Service invoices "don't show the work item logged or completed" though it was asked for and prepaid for. MPP - MECHANICAL PROTECTION PLAN = $3300 RIP OFF/CON... These benefiets have not been honored since day one.. Needed possible towing on a couple occasions. (Tire and batteery issues) - not honored, Needed a belt and tensioner replaced.. not honored, needed a battery (towing) not honored.. An apology gift certificate provided to me by dealers customer relations manager/director.... to date also not honored. Refused twice actually... 3 year Zaktek contract... $199.99 RIP OFF/CON . THEIR OWN Service invoices prove it was not applied to my car.. (dept noted service manager did not schedule with that dept.) But service manager returned the car to me as Zaktek applied.. Fraud... as this happened all 3 years of the contract.. Well last year I ensured/made them do it. But of course.. They messed it up, contaminated by lsome other spray that was done near the car... and before curing... So entire car had to be "clay barred"... and dealer did not re apply ZAKTEK.. RETURNED CARD TO ME AGAIN.. 0 of 3 prepaid applications received. (Dealers own documents prove it!) Do service managers verify if work was performed or not.. is that not thier very job? I have 1 service invoice where they claimed they turned the DRLS (daytime running lights) ON in my car.. Service manager said yup we got them on.. Well it is impossible to do on my car level/trim.. That option is not available on my car.. Yet they just wrote down they did it, "Drls turned on" and handed me that piece of paper... Fraud and incompetence. AlLL FRAUD HERE... WATCH AND CHECK EVERYTHING! I am also a sick and disabled person with a limp-not normal stride/gate.. With handicap plates on my car.. So they can't claim they don't know... or is it that I was targeted since they saw the disability plate? I think that is a fair question to ask! They didn't expect me to catch them in their fraud.. but once i caught them, I have gone back and reviewed all previous records/invoices, and see that fraud was happening all a long. Day 1 on... first annual service visit even documents shorting me product services paid for. On November 9th 2017.. I was called in for a meeting with general manager,.service director. Service manager. The GM used a FCA USA LLC software , generated -"Strictly confident" - internal document - as the unquestionable proof I DID NOT HAVE MPP COVERAGE that i asserted I did. He used this fraudulent business document to defraud me out of product and services which were PREPAID FOR. I DO have the all the signed contracts. MVP, Zaktek, and the MPP showing PLATINUM ELITE coveragr plan.. And those items appear on the installment contract that I am paying on, to the bank. Still, Nov 5 of this year 2019.. same gm was only offering prorated rebates... where the MPP plan entitles me to FREE REPLACEMENT on several items, THIS DEALERSHIP AND ITS GM ARE [non-permissible content removed]. THEY STEAL FROM AND DEFRAUD THE DISABLED. I HAVE DEFINITIVE PROOF. INCLUDING DOCUMENTATION FROM INDEPENDENT 3RD PARTY COMPANIES, THOSE THAT DID THE WORK THIS DEALER WOULD NOT UNDER PREPAID PRODUCTS, AND SERVICE WARRANTIES. P.S...I incident... After 7 days of failure after failure to perform my prepaid oil change, tire rotation, and zaktek applications, simple things that shoukd take 1 day at most... They retuned my car to my covered in grease.. inside and out! Including my white interior. Pictures uploaded. And still not all services performed. How is this not theft by fraud? And against the disabled?

Trust it out the door

by bentobin2003 on 12/02/2016

I bought my car 2006 Audi A4 2.0 T from this dealership Sept 27th after my previous car was totaled. I bought the care for a reasonable price and was told a thorough inspection was done on the vehicle. I've driven it since and have had no issues until I took it for it's 3K first oil change. I went to my trusted mechanic and they were servicing my car and noticed that I have a leak in my water pump. They stated that I will need to replace my waterpump and my timing belt. They stated to me that this leak has been there for a while because of the amount of water in the pan under it. They stated the reason i didn't notice any leak or drops on the ground is because it pooled in the pan below. Now I understand i'm buying a used car... I understand I drove it off the lot. I spoke to a manager of used car sales name Chris and I said to him I feel taken by the dealership because it's been 2 months and i'm having to essentially replace a major part on the vehicle costing me roughly 15% of the vehicles worth. He says to me there's nothing that he or anyone else at the dealership could do and that I should have inspected it before i bought it. To me this is poor customer service... This is great salesmanship hey sell a car no mater the condition even though they stated to me they did the 20/30/50 point inspection, however they failed to tell me that I have to replace this item within the first 2 months of owning the vehicle. My issue is i'm not a mechanic, i'm a consumer buying a car. If i knew all the ins and outs of the car and could have taken it to another mechanic to review then i would have. However I couldn't do that, and therefore this is why dealerships and Car sales people have a bad names. If you did what's in the best interest of a client knowing they know nothing about cars other than driving we would all feel better about dealerships and car sales people..... My issue is if you want a client for life, someone who is willing to buy cars from only you for as long as i live (Which is many cars) then treat me right and you have my loyalty.

Used car sales department is fantastic!

by mlb1968 on 11/06/2014

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Airport Dodge. Nick, our sales rep and Nathan, the sales manager were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and found the perfect minivan for us at a great price. Mark, the finance manager helped us through the paperwork on a Sunday evening. It was a great group to work with and we'll be coming back in the future.

Sales = Great

Sales experience was good. I dealt with the Sales Manager, so that probably helped. He was willing to sit with me for 6 hours as I looked over every single 2014 GC he had in stock.

Airpark really came through for us.We live 6 hours away from Scottsdale and did all the dickering over the internet and phone. Shawn G was our salesman. We showed up at 6:00 p.m. Friday and left at 9:00 p.m. that evening. Airpark was right on with the numbers we discussed over the phone/internet and it was my "BEST"car buying experience in 35 years. The staff was wonderful and you could tell there was a focus on developing a positive relationship and then following through with a very fair deal. Nothing headed in the "Rip-Off" direction. It was a wonderful experience and my thanks goes out to the Airpark staff. Shawn G knows people and is an expert on vehicles. Keep up the professional expectations.

Poor Service to Customers & Vehicles

by amsiegel on 02/23/2014

I bought a new dodge charger from another dealership and took it for its first oil change at this dealership since it is close to my work. I waited to buy a car for a long time a got a really cool car, the charger road and track with the hemi engine. It is a black car with black interior and powerful. When I picked up my car the valet kid smirked at me weird and when I got back to my office, that is just under one mile away I realized there was 30 more miles on my car than the mileage out on my paperwork. I went and looked at the car and there was mud under the car and on the wheels and the car was supposed to be washed. I was in a hurry when I picked up the car so did not think to look for this at the time. I called my service writer who never called me back, still hasn't, I called the Service Manager who denied any wrongdoing. Then I called the General Manager daily. It was four days before I got a phone call back. He also denied it and said, "What do you expect me to do? Fire everybody?" Not the appropriate response to a customer whose car was essentially stolen and taken for a joy ride apparently on an unpaved road. Never got an apology, never offered to pay for a quality check by another dealer, never offered to credit the card for the service, or reimburse for the gas used on this joy ride. Nothing. I highly encourage you to purchase and take your vehicle elsewhere. Who knows what the staff are doing with those cars.

Love the Car

by paul228 on 01/22/2012

The purchase of our new Chrysler 300C, from Air Park Dodge Chrysler Jeep, was a very pleasant experience. By using the Air Park Dodge Chrysler Jeep web site, we knew the model, color, and price range of the vehicle we were looking for, before we went to the dealership. A test drive was scheduled, a fair trade-in was given for our car, the paperwork was signed, and the car was ours. The sales person was very helpful, explained all the new features, and made sure they were all operational. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new Chrysler product to check out the large selection of vehicles on the Air Park Dodge Chrysler Jeep web site and save your self a lot of time and effort. Paul and Julie P.S. After driving our new Chrysler 300C for about a week, we noticed a minor problem. I returned to the dealership for the repair and was impressed by the friendly and professional attitude of everyone I came in contact with in the service department.

Great Buy!

by drdzrt on 01/14/2012

I had a good experience at Airpark and purchased a Chrysler 200, after comparing it to the Chevrolet Malibu. I not only got a great deal, but I was treated well by Lisa and all advertised prices and quotes given to me were honored. My experience with Midway Chevrolet was very unpleasant, so I am happy that I chose the Chrysler. I love the way this car rides....it feels heavier than the Malibu and the interior is more luxurious.

Great experience!

by citychild on 10/30/2011

Wow. That is all I have to say. We were very sad that we could not afford the gas on our Nissan xTerra anymore, and were put into a position of needing to trade it. With that said, we submitted an AutoTrader appraisal and many dealerships came back with vehicles within our parameters. But AirPark came back with the most promising lead. We traded our xTerra with 92k miles with a Dodge Caliber with 42k miles. Aside from the fact we had to trade, we were very happy with the process. It was quick, informative, dare I say--almost fun. There is nothing I could change about the transaction. Ian was very flexible with me (and my demands) and was an overall great guy to work with. The finance department is well, the finance department. Since we didn't need financing (straight trade) it was smoother than I had anticipated. The crazy sells on the extended warranty persisted but I was stern and unwilling to budge. We walked out of the finance office with a new ride about 20 minutes later.

Worst Experience Ever (8th Jeep Purchased)

by sgood96 on 03/07/2011

We bought a used Jeep 3 weeks ago. We had 2 sales people promise itmes and not follow through, we had 2 managers in the department not care to follow up. We went back to trade in the car to get a different one (three things broke in first week with car) and our third salesman never bothered to call us and try to make a deal. Worst car buying experience ever, and it was going to be the 8th jeep of my family. I would never go there again, and almost want to hang out in the lobby and tell people how bad they are. I won't even say what the GM did to make up for the problems, almost too embarassing to mention! So sadly now I am driving a new Highlander... which they wanted to sell me a new Jeep

Great salesman - wish the sales management was as good

by nssummer on 02/11/2008

Salesman Jimmy really cared about finding what his customer wanted. His sales manager was a different story. He decided to sell me a new '07, positioning it as a 'great deal' dispite the fact that the '08s had the equipment that was important to me for not much more money. After reading Edmunds and finding this out on my own I decided to find a different dealer. I ended up driving 40 miles to East Mesa and am very glad I did. Sorry Jimmy - your a great guy. I just wish you worked for a different dealer.

Great 1st time new car buying experience!

by jamiej1731 on 02/01/2008

My wife and I had been thinking of trading in our 1999 Grand Cherokee for a few months now. Its warranty had ran out and though we loved it, the repair bills had begun to add up. We started looking up prices online to know what to expect. We decided to see how we liked driving the new Grand Cherokee and the Commander. We felt like the Cherokee was almost the same vehicle as our Cherokee. However, we felt similar in the commander yet with a fresh perspective. We have a baby on the way and wanted something a little bigger and something with 7 seats. When we drove the commander, we fell in love with it. After the test drive, we went back inside to look at the numbers. They initally low balled our trade in value and the amount they would lower the sticker price to. When I told that was unacceptable and the loan was too high, they tried again. This time they upped the sticker price reduction, and it looked a bit better. Still not being convinced, they upped the trade in in to 3/4 of the retail value. So, now I began thinking that the number were making since. Through out the process, the salesman, Tom, was great to work with. He wanted to get the deal done, but was in no way pushy or like the typical car salesman. The finance manager was good to work with as well. They were all very friendly and handled our negotiation with respect. So far, we love our Commander and have enjoyed follow up calls from both the salesman and the finance manager, who were checking in to see how we were doing. In the future, we will likely buy from them again. It is our first new car experience, and they made it a great one.
