On July 2008 I had my Ford Escape repaired at San Tan Ford. The service department there indicated I needed to have a new alternator and battery for my vehicle. The alternator and battery were original manufacturers parts and had never been replaced, the vehicle mileage at that time was approximately 60,000 miles. San Tan Ford performed this work and charged me approximately $629. I drove the vehicle for only 12,000 miles using the alternator that San Tan Ford installed on July 2008. On November 2010 I went back to San Tan Ford and they informed me that I needed another new alternator and charged $629 again to replace it. My complaint is San Tan Ford, an authorized Ford dealership, must be using inferior or defective replacement parts when they perform repairs. The original alternator lasted over 60,000 miles. To have their replacement last only 12,000 miles is completely unacceptable and I want a refund.
