I just had a not so great experience with one of Planet Chryslers salesmen. I contacted an ad for a 1999 Dodge 3500 Diesel truck in the "For Sale By Owner" section on flagstaff craigslist to find out that it was actually listed by a salesmen for this dealership. That should have been my first warning about this deal but I really wanted the truck so I continued talking with the salesmen. I asked questions about the mechanical state of the vehicle to find out that they haven't done a mechanical inspection of the vehicle and were trying to offload it quick through craigslist. The truck is also not listed on their website under used vehicles so I'm assuming they're trying to sell it with as little association with their dealership as possible. But still I pressed on! After agreeing to a price for the truck I began making plans to come see it this Friday, checking flights, getting someone to watch my dog, etc. I asked the salesmen if I needed to put down a deposit on the vehicle to hold it for me and after he responded with $1,000 to hold it; I asked if the deposit was refundable contingent on there being no major issues with the truck when I showed up. This is where the interaction turned south. He responded back with, and I quote, "If I take a deposit and sell it to someone else an hour later is that ok?" and proceeded to get angry that my interest in the vehicle was contingent on them not trying to sell a vehicle that wasn't safe to be drive down the road. On multiple occasions he stated that you can't expect his dealership to be selling a used vehicle without issues. Moral of the story: Don't buy a used vehicle from this dealership if you're expecting to drive a decent vehicle off the lot without undisclosed issues.

I shopped several Jeep dealers looking for a 2015 Grand Cherokee. I used true car from several sources to get pricing from dealers (including the edmunds service which referred me to Planet Jeep in Flagstaff. I had to custom order to get the GC I wanted but it arrived ahead of schedule in 4 weeks. I got the promised pricing and an excellent trade in for my 10 year old car.A very good deal and everything went pretty smooth.

I was completely blown away by the overall experience! This dealership has it together, I have no reason to shop anywhere else. From my first step on the property, to the moment I left in my awesome car, they treated me like family. We all have a certain perception about Car Dealerships, we go in expecting the worst. I didn't know what to expect? But, I walked away knowing that 'my needs' were of upmost importance to them. Lorraine and Yuri know their stuff! They had everything in order and made the process really really easy. Justin and Larry, closed the deal. They treated so well, I'm extremely Grateful and Thankful that I had the privilege of working with these guys! I will definitely spread the word to Family and Friends! I know this is one recommendation I can carry for LIFE!

Purchased a pre-owned vehicle in July 2014. Very nice salespeople with promises of followup on day of service. Verbal promises made that were later denied, excuses made, extreme frustration on our part. Finance manager was [non-permissible content removed] beyond words. We had pre-approved financing and made a promise that it was approved and matched if we would finance with dealership. To make a long story short, that didn't happen, dings to our credit, no followup, no apologies. Just an overall classic nasty car-buying experience.

This is the third car we have purchased from this dealer. They are always very friendly and one doesn't have to "haggle" with the price. I ask for the best price and maybe it is because they know us, they always come in below what I am seeing previous sales go for across the country. Whenever I want, I get to talk to THE OWNER and it is without any kind of runaround! These guys are very responsive to my questions and if they don't know, they find out for me. A lot of people up here in northern AZ will go to Phoenix to purchase a car because it is so much cheaper...perhaps they need to go to Planet and save themselves the time and money. I actually priced the same car in Phoenix and I got it at Planet for 5% less than I could have in Phoenix with the same options! Scott does a great job with his employees and if you ever have a problem, he has an open door and you can talk to him directly.
