Is this a good lease deal? Am I overpaying?
by rb2008 on Mon Feb 25 16:46:57 PST 2008
I just leased a 2008 Acura TSX, no extra options, non-navi, 5-speed auto. My payments are $296/month (plus tax). I have put $4000 down (I don't like to put a down payment on lease but I just really had to make the payments as low as I could). The residual on the car is around $16700. Lease terms are 10k/yr, 36 months lease. I qualified for tier 2 because I wasn't on the credit bureau for long enough (only 8 months or so) as I moved recently. I don't know exactly what it is, but they told me that the money factor is 2.51%. It seemed to me like it was a good deal because it was only $1800 more than the advertised on the lease special (WA residents pay additional $700 fee on top of the $1500 advertised) and the payments were actually $3/mo less. My question though is: did I get a good deal? Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The Acura dealership in my area (Western WA) quoted $32k for a 07 pre-owned RDX with 14k miles, no extras. I'm passing. Now I'm considering the MDX.

Your e-mail didn't work. Which dealership in the Seattle area are you working with?

Thank you very much for all valuable information shared on the site. I've got a nice deal in Aug for an 07 RDX w/o Tech, silver/ebony, included those all 'non-listed' standards. The all-cash OTD price is close to $34K (9.1% tax in WA)

Hello mdxtech, I live in Vancouver, WA, area and is looking for a MDX tech pkg. So far I had difficulty get a OTD price lower than $41400. Would you mind sharing where you got your deal and the name of the salesperson? Thank You
Closed On A Deal In Seattle
by shaig on Mon Sep 17 17:18:18 PDT 2007
Finally closed on a deal for an '08 Sport in Seattle with Acura Bellevue. After all the aggravation, it turned out that the general manager was informed of our negative experience at his dealership by a friend and was good about taking action immediately to make up for it. This Sunday, we closed on an '08 Sport for $47,730 (includes sport and dest) with: Roof rails Crossbars Bodyside moldings Reverse Sensors Tow Package This is about the best I can find in the Northwest, and by my calculations comes in at $2300 over invoice + dest (which is $42,200). I did check the pricing on an 08 in other areas, and factoring shipping came in under $1100 delta, so it seems okay. What made matters somewhat challenging is that the number of vehicles in sport are low, let alone the color combo Silver/Ebony.
