Virginia Beach VA Purchase: by smlull163 on Sat Sep 20 19:20:37 PDT 2008; I had been emailing an internet salesman about the 08 TL w/Nav. He sent me to a local dealership to drive the car. Wife and I did like it. Carbon Bronze with Caffe leather interior. We tried the Tl-S but the seats were just to tight and I though on long drives would not work so well. Anyway, I did buy, I should have gone back to house, and gotten quotes through Edmunds, I'm sure cheaper, anyway it was 32700 for the car after the discounts, it was 37238 for an MSRP. that did include some add on's. I will do the drive then ask for quotes next time, but wife liked the car that much. Dealer even let me have it for a overnight/day just to test drive. Ran solid, very comfortable. Though I'm 50, and probably could have done better had I held out, it did work for me. Scott, VB

08 TL or Tl-S w/NAV purchase question: by smlull163 on Sun Sep 07 19:05:57 PDT 2008; Greetings to all, I've decided to take the plunge and buy a TL. either the S or the standard, either with NAV. Question I have (I'm in Virginia Beach VA) is the pricing. I've looked on Edmunds for the TMV and it seems very high. The MSRP is 36,985 for the TL and 38,985 for the S model. Can I add the 2.9 financing with the rebate. And what is the rebate after september 2? is it 3,500? I'm trying to get a without TTL and processing fee so I can compare. Oh, does the S really ride that much rougher? I'm older (54) and like a nice comfortable ride, with a little spirit thrown in. I had my time at the track as a young man. (Should I travel to Richmond to get a better deal?) Thanks! I thoroughly enjoy reading these forums and will continue once I get the car. Scott, VB

Wanted some ideas or comparisons MSRP 37,238 (has pinstripe and glass etching) Car Price 32,950 TTL 1524.55 I'm coming in with 6500 down. Dealership says because they gave a decent discount, they'll finance at 5.9 or I can go to my own bank and do 5.25. Comments appreciated Scott Virginia Beach VA

My car- which I picked up today and really enjoy driving- is an automatic, just an fyi. I have to say we love all of the electronic stuff. Being able to say "temperature 70", or "call home" and having the car do it is so much fun.
