Re: Financing VS Cash sale [graphicguy] by tudiu on Sat Feb 27 09:07:13 PST 2010

Jill, I am in market for the AWD w/tech and I got an offer few days ago from a dealer in Fairfax VA. 2010 TL AWD with TECH package for only $37,495. I did not even talk to the guy to lower it more. $38.5 K is high to me. Has anyone out there closed the deal with lower than 37.5k? This is before TTL. but included dest. I ve seen few 09 models with this configuration & very low miles 5k only for around 32k to 33k.

MDX 2009 Tech+Ent price by mike_brogan on Mon Aug 24 17:45:29 PDT 2009

I am getting ready to purchase a black 2009 MDX Tech+Ent and want to know how the pricing is handled. I got an offer in VA Fairfax for 43K. Does anything this is too much...I was looking at 40,800 for tech and entertainment package. If the "agreed to price" is 43K what else is added on? Taxes Tags License? also once I get a price agrred how does the lease works....I am trading in a car and have 8K equity after trade in... So if I get 43K what else is added on during the lease and how do I get to the monthly payment for Acura MDX Thanks Mike Brogan

'08 Tech Pkg by maraist on Sat Jul 19 11:53:34 PDT 2008

I noticed that only the base and Tech package really had any price flexibility. Sport, Ent, Sport + Ent, and the PTG all had pretty heafty premiums considering the difference in their MSRP or invoice pricing. Multiple Internet dealers in Fairfax VA quoted about the same price for a Tech pkg, which was invoice - $2,500 including 'processing fees' (ultimately labeled the infamous doc-fee). Negotiating the price seemed to bounce back because mysterious taxes/fees appeared which undid the negotiated dropped value. They're pretty clever though, because of the 5 separate papers that quoted the sale price, some included sales-tax, some included processing fees, etc, such that you couldn't get a clear listing of what the true underlying cost of the car was. When my wife and I unraveled it at, we found it was basically their original offer price. But still below invoice - $2,500 so we were ultimately happy. We wound up getting a 10yr 100K warranty with tire-replacements for 5 year (DC streets suck, and we don't plan on replacing the car). That pushed the total price (including sales tax) to $42k. For the avg person, the base warranties should be plenty. Note, apparently Tech + Ent is hard to come by these days - I couldn't even get a quote.

I just bought at dealer in Chantilly, VA. It was a car with Nav and they reduced doc fee to $100 from $399 and including freight I paid $27,700 plus tags and tax and licensing. They have alot of existing cars in stock. E-mail privately if you decide to buy and I can fill you in.
