I have an 06 TL and put Blizzak WS50 tires on it and drove in VT snow storms to catch the best snow for skiing with no prob. Cheap investment for safety.

I'm a New Hampshireite...the way I understand it if you live in a state with sales tax and buy a car here, you still pay tax in your home state. The reverse for us...we can buy anywhere and not pay tax, but there is a big registration tax in NH. We bought an MDX Touring over the weekend, after much reading and research here. There are very few dealers in NH and only one in VT, so it's not at all competitive and we ended up driving 4 hours to Curry Acura in Scarsdale, NY where Acura dealers are thick on the ground, have lots of inventory and are motivated! For the record we bought for approximately invoice plus destination, less $2500; $34150, including all season mats. Nice people to deal with. A long drive but I don't mind a day on the road to save $3000+. I want to thank all of you who post here for the very helpful info.
Got brand new Antracite Metallic Grey with Camel Leather

Paid $31,500 + 750 for doc and title fees for an 2005 TL in Charlotte NC, you could go lower if you want, so you can pay for the $475 GAP insurance, which I think is important on new cars. took me 3 minutes to program the bluetooth and hands free link and its amazing, the stereo is great also, going from a BMW 540i with 312 lbs/feet of torque to 238 lbs/ft of torque was hard but the BMW was not as high tech as the TL and is painfully costly to maintain. Just love this car, amazing overall. VT of CLT
Vermont/New Hampshire Acura Dealers

We're moving from FL to New Hampshire, right next to the Vermont border. The closest dealerships are all about 80 miles away and there are three of them. Has anyone had any experience with any of them, positive or negative? That would help us decide which one to buy from. MDX base model in NY area
by cyoungblood on Sat Jan 31 19:02:29 PST 2004
We purchased our Black (ext.)/Saddle (int.) MDX premium (aka: base model) on January 20 from Feders Acura in Middletown, NY. We paid $1500 less than sticker ($35,495). We added on the cross bars and running boards (no discounts). We live in Westchester County, New York. We checked with dealers through the internet (through the Edmunds & Acura websites) and with phone calls locally and in CT, NJ, MA, and RI starting at the beginning of January (1.2.04). Some of the internet managers at the dealerships were not the best to deal with. One quoted sticker which we knew was ridiculous, only to have his manager call back two minutes later (Curry Acura) to offer a better price (they were obviously trying to see if we would bite for the higher price). I also tried the Costco discount program – only one dealer in NY offered the car on LI & he said that his price was $1000 off sticker and that he knew that deals were as good or better up near me so it wouldn’t make sense for us to make a trip. The standard discount at almost all of the dealers was $1000 off sticker. There were a few dealers that didn’t offer that discount because they were “sold out” for a month in advance. The deal sealer was that Feders promised a lower price and the vehicle we wanted within one week (ended up taking two weeks and a day). Heart Acura (Wappingers Falls, NY) offered to match the price but wouldn’t promise the car until the end of the month. We love it and have already tried out the AWD in the snow in VT. Two quick notes, thanks to the Edmunds boards where we found out that you can get Acura accessories on the internet for a significant discount over the dealer price. Second, American Honda called asking about our purchase. I mentioned that we were disturbed at the dearth of available vehicles (maybe just the Northeast given the deals people are getting in other parts of the country), which seems like a way to prop up the price on a vehicle that has been out four years rather than make it available to customers.
