Best deal on Tech + Ent package
by papaharris on Mon May 12 11:30:14 PDT 2008
Hi everyone. I'm new to this thread, but so far, I have found the information phenomenal. Thanks to everyone! I think I'm going to make the Acura MDX my first car purchase. From what I can gather, the national base invoice price for the tech + ent package is $41683 (w/o destination charge). And currently there is $2000 dealer incintive making the true invoice price $39683. I have a few questions, is the dealer actually charged $715 (destination charge)? Should I try to negotiate on document fees and other dealer fees or should I even have to pay any of this administrative stuff? What should be a good price OTD? I am in Greenville, SC, but I think to get the best deal, I'm going to need to go Atlanta. I'm thinking: $39683 + $715 (destination fee) + $400 TTL = $40,800 OTD should be what I'm shooting for. Any comments or suggestions?

NC/SC Dealer experiences...help?!?!?!?!
by thickcommish1 on Sat Nov 24 09:35:31 PST 2007
I had a 2005 MDX touring, loved it, traded it and now miss it. I bought something else strictly because of the pricepoint and I heard that dealers are not coming off MSRP. Now unhappy with my current vehicle I have been researching the MDX again to see if I could financially swing it. After reading the boards I have seen folks getting deals below invoice (not often) and some over MSRP. I have requested quotes from dealers and they are mainly quoting at MSRP still around my area, ie Charlotte (Hendrick Acura), Greensboro (Crown Acura), and Winston Salem (Flow Acura). I experienced this in 05 and had to go to Greenville SC for the deal at Bradshaw Acura which at the time met me in the middle if I would take their available color of Sage/Quartz. I intend on requesting quotes again but want to have reasonable expectations. I do not mind driving for a deal but also have a trade in which I do not know if it will mess anything up or not. Any help or advise anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!

I am totaly new to the leasing option. i live here in SC and more than likley going to be dealing with BRADSHAW acura(greenville, SC). 07 TSX w/Navi. i was thinking about putting maybe around 6K-8K downpayment(i have around 9K cash). OF COURSE i will be buying the car after the 36month lease was up. I want a lower car payment. and a lower buyout price. Can you haggle down the actual selling price to lower payments and buyout price. i am looking for the TSX i want is around 31K round about figure. What exactly is GAP insurance and do i need it? Is there ANYTHING you can help me with ideas, thoughts, QUALITY/SOUND advice. pleae help me and my wife. i dont always trust salesmen(used to sell used at a local car lot)(IM NOT SHADY :P). WHAT would my best option be on being money smart in getting the 10K 12K or 15K mileage lease. I am buying the car after the 3 year lease so i dont have to worry about the mileage; which one is cheaper(overall) and better for my situation??? Please help THANKS justin

Hello all, to follow on my earlier message, I am getting $38,843 (before tax, tag and title) for '06 MDX Touring w/ Nav in Atlanta. Is this a good price? Also I hear that Birmingham, AL or Greenville, SC may be offering the same trimline a bit cheaper. Is this true? Anyone have any experience with this? I have couple of requests out in each of the two cities. All info is appreciated. Thanks!
