NEW TO THE LEASING GAME
by iceycherry on Wed May 23 22:39:45 PDT 2007
I am totaly new to the leasing option. i live here in SC and more than likley going to be dealing with BRADSHAW acura(greenville, SC). 07 TSX w/Navi. i was thinking about putting maybe around 6K-8K downpayment(i have around 9K cash). OF COURSE i will be buying the car after the 36month lease was up. I want a lower car payment. and a lower buyout price. Can you haggle down the actual selling price to lower payments and buyout price. i am looking for the TSX i want is around 31K round about figure. What exactly is GAP insurance and do i need it? Is there ANYTHING you can help me with ideas, thoughts, QUALITY/SOUND advice. pleae help me and my wife. i dont always trust salesmen(used to sell used at a local car lot)(IM NOT SHADY :P). WHAT would my best option be on being money smart in getting the 10K 12K or 15K mileage lease. I am buying the car after the 3 year lease so i dont have to worry about the mileage; which one is cheaper(overall) and better for my situation??? Please help THANKS justin
North Carolina TSX purchase price
by carsjwin on Sat Jan 29 16:36:34 PST 2005
I purchased a 2005 TSX, auto/non-navi at Leith Acura in Cary, NC for $25,500 (about $330 above invoice). In North Carolina many dealers rip you off with a non-negotiable $398 document fee, so you've got to counter this by negotiating the sale price down even more. With 3% tax, $62 registration, and $398 doc fee, the total out-the-door price was $26,725. I contacted about 10 dealers in NC, VA, and SC, plus 2 car buying services and got a broad range of offers. It took several rounds of negotiation with the dealers, and sometimes different salesmen/managers at a dealer to get the price this low. Most other dealers wouldn't come close to this price. Performance Acura in Chapel Hill and Flow Acura in Winston-Salem both offered $25,600, but I ultimately went with Leith Acura since they had the color I wanted. Performance also gave a ridiculously low offer of $1900 on my trade-in (Leith offered $3500, I ultimately went with Carmax for $4300). A previous poster here had a similarly low trade-in offer from Performance, so beware.   If you are in the area and would like to know more on my negotiation experience, please post here and I will share what I can. Hopefully this information will be useful to others in the area. Now that the 2005s have been on the lots for a few months, deals should be possible!
