Prices paid in RI/Southeastern MA TL-Type S
by kiwimagic on Tue May 29 20:00:35 PDT 2007
Does anyone have data on prices paid in RI and Southeastern, MA for the Type-S? I am looking at the Automatic for now. I think, at this point, I'm looking at First Acura in Seekonk, MA or Inskip Acura in W. Warwick, RI. I'd appreciate any inputs. Thanks.

New Meteor Silver NonNavi Vs 2002 Audi 1.8T Quatro
by abonney on Sat Jun 26 15:49:57 PDT 2004
I have been an avid follower of these forums for at least 3 years. Recently this one has piqued my interest and now I am in a position finally to buy my first new car. After using the great info on this forum, I sent emails out to 4 different Acura dealerships looking for a Non Navi 6MT TSX. Color is not that important, though i would rather not have the wood trim. UNfortunately, I also love the Milano Red color ;) In the email i said that I would not pay more than 25200 for a 6MT TSX. Well, i got a quote back, in like 15 minutes from one dealer, Inskip Acura of Warwick, RI, that has a Meteor Silver Metallic with Quartz. He basically said that if I could pick it up by June 30th then I could have it for 25,200. Did I dig myself in a hole in that now that i was upfron with the sales team there, that I am obligated to buy it at that price? I jsut checked the postings here and it looks like I should have said 24,700ish. I also test drove a 2002 Audi 1.8T quatro manual today and was much impressed. However, it does not have Xenon lights, and that is something that I am most adamant about. Other dealers have said that I can just add them in to whatever I get (one guy said that I could put them in a minivan if I wanted to) ridiculous if you ask me. The TSX has all that I want. One other thing, when i went to test drive the audi, the windshield wipers got stuck on the windshield in the upright position. The salesman said, "you think you can drive it like that?" And all I could think of was that 6 years ago, my trusty ;) Ford Probe had the same problem and shortly thereafter bit the big one. Needless to say it did not inspire confidence. Any opinions on the Audi vs. TSX, I know that there is another forum for this type of thing, but at its heart it is a buying question. The audi has 20,000 miles on it and warranty until 50,000 and is certified. Is 25200 a decent price for the TSX, if so, do you think that I can haggle a little more (this is my first car purchasing experience and I want to make sure I do this right.) Thanks for all your help. Based on driving dynamics, i can not decide on the two vehicles.
