Re: '08 TL Nav Seattle - Pricing - $32,250 ?? Good deal [sak3]

Exhausted! I know what you mean. I've been there. Put your CL on Craigslist and get more for money it. I sold my Xterra in one day. I think $32.250 w/ Nav is still high. Have you tried Acura of Portland? Call them or email them, and they will give you a quote. If the quote is in the ballpark, then see if they take $31,700. The Internet Sales Manager is a nice guy, and very easy to deal with. Unlike people at Acura of Seattle. They wore me out. I am enjoying my Bronze TL very much. It has everything I want and then some. Let me know if you need more info. And, don't pay more than you have to. Take your time, don't rush...

My CL + $22,435 cash OTD - is this a good deal. If not, any and all suggestions woud be helpful. This is exausting. I just want to get the deal done. Thanks.

Picked up my 08 TL (Bronze with Parchment) in Portland yesterday for $29,700. It has the NW Protection Package (Wheellocks, Mugguards, TrunkTray, and Rubber Mats). The deal was done by a couple of emails and a brief phone call. They were supper easy to deal with. The Internet Sales Manager I dealt with was a nice guy. I highly recommend Acura of Portland to anyone who is in the market for a new Acura. I had such a pleasant car buying experience, and so I feel compel to share my experience with you all. They can drive the car up to Seattle and deliver it to your door. Or, I took the train to Portland ($31), and drove the car home. It's alot more pleasant doing this than dealing with some Acura Dealers in the Seattle areas. By the way, Acura of Bellevue tried to beat my Portland deal, but the didn't have the color combo I want. If you're not picky about color, I believe the car can be had for $29,500 (this was last Friday). Good Luck! (it's alot of car for under $30K)

I am going to pick up my Base 08 TL in Portland, OR. Why Portland? The Saleperson is easy to deal with. After a couple of emails, and a brief phone call, we were agreed on a deal ($29,700 included the protection package). They would deliver the car to my door, but I plan to take the train there ($30), do some shopping (tax free) and drive my new car home. The Sale person said he would throw in some goodies. This is not a great deal, but it's a good deal. It seems like we pay more for cars here in Seattle. And, most Acura dealers around here are not easy to deal with (avoid Acura of Seattle if you could). Acura of Bellevue wanted to match the Portland deal, but they didn't have the color combo that I want. The Saleperson I dealt with seemed nice. By the way, I got a very good rate at BECU, 4.49% for 60 months. For a 08 TL with Nav at $34,500 is not a good deal. My deal was $29,700 + $2,000 (for Nav)= $31,700 + $2,000 (if you take .9%)= $33,700. Give local dealers the opportunity to earn your business. But, if they take the fun out of your car buying experience, then my advice is to give Portland a call. Shouldn't buying a new car be a fun and exciting experience?
2008 TL with nav in Portland
by my65rivi on Sat Mar 01 23:09:38 PST 2008
Today, I'm the happy owner of an '08 TL with navigation. I paid $32,700+title (with the truck tray, wheel locks, and all-season door mats that they threw in the deal). I haven't seen any other posts from the Portland Oregon area, so I'm curious what other people are getting deals for. I didn't get very good quotes over the phone, so I had to go into the dealership and negotiate. I had a good experience working with Acura of Portland. I don't consider myself a great negotiator, but having a some information helps a lot. Once I said I knew the invoice price was effectively $32k after the dealer incentative, we came to an agreement pretty quickly. I don't mind leaving $700 on the table, I think that leaves a good profit for the dealership and salesman. People have to make a living. Of coarse, they claimed to me that they are losing money on the deal, but you and I know better. This forum gave me some great information to negotiate with and make an informed choice. Before researching on Edmunds, I though I was looking at around $34k for this car, so I'm glad I did; this is a great web site . I just wanted to pass along my experience. Other people in Oregon should post too!
