Re: TL w/Navi OTD [zach10]

That is a very good deal. I have recieved prices from two Acura Dealerships here in Central Florida. The best price I have recieved is a 2008 TL with Navigation for $ 31,450 that does not include taxes, tag and title. But, they did offer free oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years or 36,000 miles. They seem very nice at both dealerships. Unfortuantely, this one is a bit further to drive to (extra 20 miles) but the best the other could offer me was $ 32,598 with no free services thrown into the deal. Since I liked both dealerships equally ..... I am going to the one who offered me the better price. It is over a $1200 savings when you figure difference in car price alone (I'm included additional taxes I'd have to pay). I am in Orlando Florida and we only have two Acura dealerships that I know of .... ...Laurie :shades:
New Steel Blue w/ Tan Interior Tech w/ PTG
by mebuytoo on Sun Jul 13 16:38:19 PDT 2008
Central NJ Area I bought a Beautiful Steel Blue w/ Tan Interior MDX Tech w/PTG. They wanted to start from MSRP and that just wasn’t going to happen so we started negotiating from the invoice price of 40,000. Had a rough time at the dealership and I had to leave and wait for them to come around. They offered me the deal I wanted; then tried to take it back when I agreed to it. I checked two dealers Open Road Acura, 38.500 - 2200, possibly 3300 KBB after they get a chance to look at it (phone deal) Ocean Acura, 40,000 - 5000 – retail value for my trade, so Ocean Acura got the deal (walkin) If you can’t get the dealer to drop below invoice; and you have a trade you can probably work “Up” the value on your trade to make up for the below invoice difference. In this area I found the next best thing for me to do was to play the dealers against each other. I couldn’t get any dealer near me to respond to the internet request I sent out and they wouldn’t give any quotes over the phone unless I called and gave them a deal to beat. With my new MDX I also get free oil changes for the life of the vehicle and of course I get a free MDX loaner if my vehicle needs to be repaired for any reason. So I wanted the closest dealer to me because they don’t all honor each other’s perks. Last but least; I love this car; words just can’t express how elated I am with this vehicle. Got to have the tech package, it works. You might have to take time out to read up on everything but once you do; it’s easy. Every morning I get traffic incidents before I turn on the highway. It seems to understand every thing I tell it to do without me repeating, even with the windows down or air going, so I’m real pleased with my purchase. Everything works great; and now that I have the vehicle, I’ve received nothing but excellent responses from the dealer.
Re: 2008 Base TL without Navi quote: Is this a good deal? [newbmr]
by ktate on Sat Jul 05 08:56:40 PDT 2008
newbmr, That seems like a really good price on the Base w/o Nav. I was after quotes from Bay Area and Central Valley dealers and the lowest I received was about $29,300 (Acura of Pleasanton). Of course this was a cash price without the 0.9% financing. (I was planning on bringing a check from my credit union.) If you're after the Honda financing, then I understand that you can't have the $2,500 off MSRP. Accordingly, your quote of $28,530 should increase to $31,030, but you're saying they're willing to give it to you for $30,531 w/ 0.9% financing? That's not bad! For what it's worth: I ended up buying a used '07 Type-S with 20K for $28,000 through a private party. (Financed through my credit union at 5.85%.) It's a great car, by the way! Good luck.

Kevin: The price of the car itself incldg dest only was $29,250 final cost BEFORE tax, title/reg, tire tax and doc fees. I did not know of, nor did I get a $2500 rebate. This was a cash purchase. When I first started researching, I was told that there was a special 1- Lease deal from Acura and 2- a special financing deal from Acura but nothing about a direct to consumer rebate on a cash deal. So, the price you see is the price I paid (final). When I was researching, once in awhile I would hear about a $2000 rebate to the DEALER (not the consumer) but that didn't concern me since I was just trying to get the best price and left it to the dealer to work with any rebates they might get for their added profit (on a cash, non lease deal). Also, I went to Acura's site before I replied here and I still don't see any $2500 rebate directly to the consumer. Just the same lease program and finance program. Let me know if there was some rebate that I was not aware of and where you saw offical info on it?? I'm thnking I ended up ok because I can't see this car getting another $2500 off of the $29,250 price paid. Maybe someone can get a bit of a better deal depending where they are and the supply at the time, but just can't see how another $2500 would be possible. That's why the prices you got are just slightly above and just slightly below what I paid but only if you take another $2500 off. Just how that $2500 is classified or where it comes from as you mention; I don't know. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - ---------------------------------- Acuradriver3, Was your purchase price of $29,250 AFTER the $2,500 cash back? Or did you take advantage of the special financing and not get the cash back? Thanks in advance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - ------------------------------ Kevin "I rounded off some of the individual $ entries but here is the deal I got from a Central NJ dealer on a 2008 Acura TL (no nav) within a few dollars: Purch Price of Vehicle incld Body Side Molding: $ 29, 250.00 (dest incld) NJ Sales Tax: $ 2,050.00 NJ Tire Fee $ 7.50 NJ Required 4 year Reg.Title fee $ 385.00 Dealer Doc Fees/Misc Fees $ 250.00 Total OTD/Bottom Line Price: $ 31,942.50"

First, make sure you are comparing apples to apples when using prices seen here in this forum. Make sure nothing is missing. Also, many people post OTD (Bottom line out the door price) but fail to give detail about the title fees etc. For example, when you purchase a new car in NJ, it is required that you get a 4 year registration which costs about $385. Each state has it's own fees for title and registration and many only require a one year registration, not a 4 year like NJ. So the point is that the NJ OTD price might look higher, but you must consider that in NJ you will be getting a 4 year pre-paid registration. Also, this is the state statutory fee and has nothing to do with the Dealer Document fees etc which are basically added profit; those are additional. I rounded off some of the individual $ entries but here is the deal I got from a Central NJ dealer on a 2008 Acura TL (no nav) within a few dollars: Purch Price of Vehicle incld Body Side Molding: $ 29, 250.00 (dest incld) NJ Sales Tax: $ 2,050.00 NJ Tire Fee $ 7.50 NJ Required 4 year Reg.Title fee $ 385.00 Dealer Doc Fees/Misc Fees $ 250.00 Total OTD/Bottom Line Price: $ 31,942.50 Take a couple of hundred off my purch. price above if you don't want the Optional Body Side Molding. Hope this helps you. Car is GREAT! Really Enjoying it.!
