Re: Solid deal in NC [rjs5]

I am also in Northern Maryland and have received a similar deal: Base 34600 (incl. dest.) Body Side Mldg 188 Stripe 50 Tow Package 716 OTR 37999 (incl. taxes, tags, doc fees..etc.) Has anyone in the area got a better deal than this? I have been working on this for about a month and this looks like the best I can do.....or should I wait. Inventory remains very high at most of the local dealers. Does anyone know if Acura is going to sweeten the incentives next month?

ncmdx: Got it from Performance in Chapel Hill. They were a little tough to deal with honestly initially, but I pointed to the salient facts (high inventory, decrease in 10-13% in sales compared to last year, gas prices, etc) and gave them a low offer on purpose initially to try to get as close to invoice - rebate as possible to meet in the middle so to speak. From the internet quotes, Stevenson in Wilmington is useless (gave me an offer that was $1000 off MSRP! what a laugh), but Crown in Greensboro ($5500 off MSRP was their initial offer) and Flow in Winston-Salem ($5300 off) had some very competitive internet offers without even haggling, but they were ~2-3 hours round trip away so less convenient. Leith in Raleigh has the most inventory but their quotes were a little higher. Didn't bother with Leith in Fayetteville or Apple Tree in Fletcher as they were farther away and smaller in size.

You have two options with incentives, $2,000 cash back with I believe 4.9% is the best available financing, or $1,000 cash back with Acura's 0.9/1.9% financing. The first deal expires 6/30 and the 2nd on 7/7. You cannot combine the two dealer incentives. If you don't need financing, the most I would pay is invoice - rebate, I would start offering into the holdback (3% of MSRP I believe), which evidence from the past few pages shows others have gotten. Depends on the dealer, some cut to the chase while others still give a high offer. I think once you show them you have done your homework they will start lowering their offer.
Should I pay extra for Sport package?
by thuff on Thu Feb 14 04:53:37 PST 2008
Hello all. This is my 1st time considering the MDX. I must say, I love it and will buy one. I travel approx. 30k a year. Do you think I should upgrade to the sport model? Is it worth it. By the posts I have read, if the MSRP is $47,995 and invoice is $43,587, I should expect to pay around $46,000. This seems high to me since Acura has a profit margin of 10%. Is it because they don't have a dealer on every street corner? I am a single woman, and I know that I can be looked at as easy bait! I will take any advice you all have. I am in Charlotte, NC if that matters. Thanks
Re: MDX Tech lease in NC [smith83]

Hi smith83. One reason why the lease payment that you were quoted is higher than the others that you have seen mentioned is that your lease is based upon a very high mileage allowance, 18,000 miles per year. Most of the leases that I have seen mentioned hear include only 15,000 or 12,000 miles per year. Also, some community members have probably been able to negotiate a larger discount than $2,500 on their MDXs. $2,500 off of an '08 MDX Tech is probably right around $1,500 over dealer invoice. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition, I would not be surprised if you were able to negotiate another $500 to $1,000 off of this truck's price by shopping around. Any good dealers in Virgina?
by bobaquino on Thu Oct 26 18:38:56 PDT 2006
I was trying to work a deal on a 06 TL with Nav at Priority Acura in Chesapeake VA. The best price I could get them down to was 31690 which I thought was a bit high, but was within reason. Another local dealer wanted 31750 but didnt have the color we wanted. We had worked on the price without talking about tradeins till tonight. We wanted to get around 13,5 for our 03 TL but they were about 2 grand shy. My feeling was if we couldn't come to terms on the deal with the trade, then no harm no foul. These guys decided to go for the hard sell and beat me up on trying to get the best price for the new car and my trade. The general manager was outride rude. Needless to say it left quite a sour taste. :P Has anyone gotten a good deal in or around VA/NC or MD? If you have, please post the dealer and the price. We are looking for an 06 with Nav. Thanks.
