Buying a car from a Acura Car Dealer
This forum was helpful for getting general pricing info, but no posts for North Carolina! So- here's what played out for 2011 MDX Base Model in the Cary/Raleigh Area: Leith Acura of Fayetteville - 1 car in stock, 42500 out the door (Tax is 7%) Leith Acura of Cary Auto Park - No cars in stock, 43540 out the door (Tax is 6.75%)- He said he was waiving transfer fees. Hendrick Performance Acura of Chapel Hill - No cars in stock- didn't even bother asking about price Crown Acura of Greensboro - never got a call back. We ended up taking 42500 OTD - With 885 destination and 7% tax, I think this works out to about 38,810 for the car. Black with parchment interior- picking it up tonight. We are also doing the 1.9% financing for 48m. Hope this info is helpful for some- would be interested if others in the area are getting same deals.
Sure, I purchased my vehicle in North Carolina. Any of the North Carolina dealerships would match that price with each other. The Fayetteville, Cary, Greensboro, and Chapel Hill dealerships all are located close to each other and they will match/beat anyones price. These dealerships really want to sale a car. The most helpful and friendliest dealership was Fayetteville, NC.
I was in a dealership in Greensboro, NC today and was offered 2.9% for 60 months. :)
ncmdx: Got it from Performance in Chapel Hill. They were a little tough to deal with honestly initially, but I pointed to the salient facts (high inventory, decrease in 10-13% in sales compared to last year, gas prices, etc) and gave them a low offer on purpose initially to try to get as close to invoice - rebate as possible to meet in the middle so to speak. From the internet quotes, Stevenson in Wilmington is useless (gave me an offer that was $1000 off MSRP! what a laugh), but Crown in Greensboro ($5500 off MSRP was their initial offer) and Flow in Winston-Salem ($5300 off) had some very competitive internet offers without even haggling, but they were ~2-3 hours round trip away so less convenient. Leith in Raleigh has the most inventory but their quotes were a little higher. Didn't bother with Leith in Fayetteville or Apple Tree in Fletcher as they were farther away and smaller in size.
29K in Greensboro and Durham, NC for the Base TL no Navi. I got this with little effort. I am hoping for calls from the 2 dealers I am working with near month end and I plan to offer $28,500.
