Buying a car from a Acura Car Dealer
29K in Greensboro and Durham, NC for the Base TL no Navi. I got this with little effort. I am hoping for calls from the 2 dealers I am working with near month end and I plan to offer $28,500.
Yeah, its usually very hard to move them. I live in Raleigh & have a 2004 BMW 330 convert but wound up with Performance BMW in Durham for that one. Much better price the Leith & also got factory delivery with BMW driving school down in Spartanburg SC. Could not get Leith to move much on it & they never talked about the driving school.
I just purchased my first Acura last night in Chapel Hill, NC. I got a white/tan 2005 TL, with body side moldings (negotiated that in), mud-flaps, trunk tray: off the lot price was $32,700 (so this included tax, tag and fees). :) My overall experience was excellent; the only thing bothering me is that they didn't even wash the car before I took delivery (the pollen and dust are pretty bad this time of year); so it stifled the feeling of driving home in a "new" car.
I've been shopping the internet classifieds for a 2003 TL Type-S and I'm seeing lots of certified Pre-owned and Private sellers. There's typicaly a 2-3K difference in price (private sellers being less expensive of course). What are anyone's throughts on the value of the certified Pre-owned warranty offered by Acura? Is it worth the extra cost?
Thank you for the post -it definitely helped me out. I was searching for a Silver/Quartz TL w/Navi and wasn't able to find it locally (Performance Acura in Chapel-Hill and Leith Acura in Cary) so went to Flow Acura online, did a quote request and got a good deal. price: $33,695 w/prot package incl. The docfee was high ($345) but the price of the car was fair and needed to get it quickly. I would recommend - but pretty far away from Raleigh-Durham area (1&1/2-2hours). Peformance Acura quoted about the same price, but didn't have color I wanted in stock. Salesperson was extremely knowledable and helpful. He tried his best and went out of the way to try to find the TL. I would recommend buying from this dealership. Leith Acura is right down the road from me and the first Acura dealership I went to. The salesguy wouldn't deal (Never first meet salesperson face-to-face before letting them know you're shopping on the Internet) and didn't believe that other dealers were below the TMV price. Long story short, salesman wouldn't quote me carsmart Internet price and insulted me in subsequent email exchange so I purchased elsewhere. I would not recommend this dealership. Hope that helps you future TL buyers in NC.
