Actually from what I have been told here in the North East the prefered book that the dealers use for trade-ins is called a Galves Book. They have a website but they will not give any info on the Web. You have to buy the books. Usually around $6.00. They say there the best because there books come out more often. Weekly for American Cars, every 2 weeks for Foreign Cars. The prices that are stated in book is the actual price that the car has sold for at auction in the previous week, at places like Bordentown NJ. I sure that most dealers in the Tri-State area all use them. I have seen them carrying them. You can't mistake them they are little tiny paper backs books that fit in your pocket.
