Acura TL AWD with Tech Lease Question: by bd2000 on Thu Sep 03 13:13:43 PDT 2009; So here is my scenario. I agreed to lease a 2009 TL AWD w/ Tech that was not yet on the lot with the idea being that the dealer had committed to their Acura Rep to take 5 TL AWD with Tech when built in late August. I got the color (int/ext) I wanted and no one in the new england (Ct, RI, MA, NH) had the color I wanted. The dealer called me today to tell me that the cars were built but that Acura had made these 2010s and therefore the $2000 dealer incentive was gone (since it was only on 2009s). They told me the residual went up (which is good for my lease price) but the money factor had gone up significantly and therefore increased my price on the car...by about 40 bucks/month I have 2 Questions: First, has anybody else gotten this story and second if the money factor on leases did indeed change this year...(2010 models)? thanks for your help!

Lease rates are substantially worse than you indicate (all 4 dealers quotes exactly the same: 36m x12k was .00196 with 47% residual. One dealer claimed that Acura and Honda Leasing are the same company and thus no different price. They all claim due to end of model year, residuals will be lower which makes sense. Any thoughts?

New TL in NH/MA: by russianpete on Mon Mar 30 09:40:26 PDT 2009; I can't post Sales Manager/Sales rep name but here is the scoop on TL-TECH in stock: 33,700$ plus OTD plus whatever your particular state charges for title etc (in NH it's like 322$) Dealer is the SunnysideAcura in NH - there is only one there. This is good for today and tomorrow since 2000$ rebate on TECH might expire on April.

RL comparison: by dandg on Tue Sep 16 10:41:24 PDT 2008; Hi all, been looking for a low miles (under 20) 06-07 nice sedan for myself.May be go with a new one if price was right (seems from reading the board 10k off list is possible?). Wife has Lexus so I want something different. BMW 5 and 7 's all have that damn "I drive" so I ruled them out. M/B E350's have vinyl interior (they call it MB tex) and only get a leather insert with option not many have even that.Ruled them out. Toying with myabe Audi and Acura. want leather and wood (both real-NO vinyl) not big on tech (no nav is fine) just nice ride and dependabilty. Thoughts on the RL as a possibilty? I am in NH and pickings are slim,need to shop Mass as well to get any choices (like the ebony interior.wood/leather wheel and grey or black exterior. thanks of help

Lexol is pretty decent although i have yet to find a leather cleaner that will really get to those baked in stains. 2. I use collinite dot com for wax (sapphire) - this is the kind of wax that will really protect the car (the company out of NJ makes waxes for marine and electrical transformers you find on your power lines). 3. wash - i basically use a little bit of dawn if i'm stripping down the old wax and laying on a new coat. However, since i'm not fond of sudsing my driveway, i've spluged on the PS21 wash and wheel cleaner. the PS21 will really get rid of those bugs splats with little or no effort, without the suds - it's almost like orange glo for cars. i bought a 5 gallon wash from bavarian auto in NH (lowest cost by the gallon). 4. in about 6 months when the winter weather has had its effects on the car, i like to use the Meguair clay product (or Mothers clay) to smooth out the paint before waxing

The Acura of Boston has the largest number of MDXs on the lot out of the whole MA - and they are the ones that have not responded (along with both Prime Acuras in Walpole and NH). The Prime Acura in Walpole is literally on my back yard and I have spoken with one of their dealers about a month ago and really liked his attitdue and knowledge. Now I am not sure if I should email him directly or try a mass email via Edmunds again. The lowest offer so far I got from Sunnyside in NH, although I would much rather prefer buying from Prime in Walpole.
