Lease RDX
by izbod on Sun Feb 10 21:56:07 PST 2008
I just returned my 12 mos special on a loaded Infiniti FX. I was paying $399 a month on a 49K car, stretched the lease to 18 mos before Infiniti called me cursing. The RDX looks like the replacement for me. I love the vehicle, wanted something with a sporty ride but better gas mileage. I've spoken to 2 dealers. Springfield Acura offered RDX with Tech for $498incl. NYC tax/2000 out of pocket on a 36 mos/12K lease. I walked out. DCH Montclair Acura broke the numbers down a lil further to me. Invoice with Tech is 34,430, 595 acq fee is standard. He says the residual is 52%, money factor is .0009 They want approx 1500 (1st mos, acq fee, plates & BS) out of pocket with a payment of $508 tax included. I went on Honda Financial, got pre-approved. Just trying to squeeze the best deal I can at this point. Optimally, I would love to secure a sub $500 payment with just $1000 out of pocket. However, looking at the numbers, I'm not sure this is possible. Re-examining at dealer #1 offer. Based on all factors, I should be able to get them under $508 with $1,500 out. Any thoughts?
2006 TSX are out
by inkyofok on Sat Nov 26 14:12:03 PST 2005
I sat in one Friday in springfield MO. New glacier blue auto with navi $30,500. Bluetooth, fogs and MPG trip computer, memory seats are new to all TSX. Some minor updates in steering wheel. Still no one touch sunroof that even a civic now has. Getting kind of pricey at $28,500--05 close out TL's were going for unbelievable $30,200. Now side by side the TL is much larger car but not that heavier. Odd? New glacier blue is nice. The old light blue it is not. Regards.... Oh, I liked the old TSX wheels!
Bought TL 6 sp with nav

Hello everyone, I just wanted to thank all the responses here as I have lurked on this site for about 2+ months. I just got a TL, anthracite with ebony, 6 sp w/navi for 33.5. I also had the dealer switch out the EL42s as I had read so many bad things about them, to the Bridgestone LS-Z for the included price. Also got the protection package thrown in. The Springfield Acura in MO was good to deal with, they are charging 195 in doc fees, I didn;t haggle too much as the above car is the only one I wanted and dealers in the midwest had only a few of these cars

Great post! I agree with you 100%. However, if you added the nav and the leather on the 330, the difference would still have been about $6k. I like you, went for the TL, however, had the difference with leather and nav been only $1500, I probably would have the 330 in my driveway. I, too, would never have considered the auto, not because I have to have a manual, but I think it puts the TL in another league from a handling and performance standpoint

I sold a 98 M3 5speed to buy the Acura. It was in another leaque than the TL in terms of handling, road feel, responsiveness, and more fun than a barrell of monkeys. However, I had owned two and it was time for a change. I wanted alittle more room and the m3 was a two door and my wife wouldn't want to switch cars if I had a road trip. The TL was a good compromise. I have the 6speed and it is larger and quieter and still has some kick when I need it. My wife has an FX35 with tech package and it has to be o;ne of the best values on the market. It will flat outhandle the TL and is like a gokart on 20 inch tires. It will outhandle 95% of the sport sedans on the market. We sold a BMW 540i sport to buy it and have never looked back. I considered the G35 instead of the TL, it handled better, but I wanted a little more comfort and the interior of the G35 just didn't cut it. If I didn't have the FX, might have seriously considered the 330. ALmost bought 2003 Infiniti M45--they were selling them for $10,000 off list(about $5000 under invoice). Have owned a bunch of Mazdas, but the RX8 didn't cut it for me either. TOo small-liked my used M3 much better. Habitat, your S2000 will be hard to part with, but if you have to drive the car 20,000 miles/year and need room, maybe the change won't be too bad.---------Kahunah--agree with you on the VCS--when running hard, the VCS will kick on between shifts and actually slow the car down. It's a bear trying to accelerate from a stop and making a rt turn if you're in a hurry--the wheel gets kind of squirelly---just have to pay attention. Glad I got the HPT summer tires rather than the rotten Turanzas. Will put Pirelli snows on this winter. Hate to make anybody mad here, but I'm afraid to go drive the 300C--I might really like it and do something stupid. I have 4 show quality muscle cars right now and could be a prime candidate for the Hemi and the 340 hp. THe TL with RWD or AWD would kick butt!

Torque steer--yes. Overassisted steering-yes. Engine is too quiet and you can't hear the rpm when you let out the clutch. Needs some engine sound. Despite this, a good ride for the money. I like it. This car would not have been on my list to buy without the 6speed. Shifter is great. Go for the 6 speed. If youlike sporited driving you won't be sorry you got the 6 speed.
