Out of State Purchase - Sales Tax Question: by aj4321 on Sun Sep 28 09:57:33 PDT 2008; I haven't bought a car outside my state before and I have a basic question. I reside in Michigan and I plan on buying a new MDX tomorrow or Tuesday in the DC area. The DC Acura dealers say they collect the MI sales tax and transfer my Michigan plates. I assume this is fairly common. Is there any specific I need to look out for? Specific forms or issues?

Went to dealer yesterday, weren't interested in playing ball (KEYES). I currently have an RSX, lease expiring 1/09 w 23K mi (12,6k mi/yr, 36 mos.) Would love some input what I could expect to pay for a 36 mos lease, 12k mi/yr both base and nav models. Also, if you would suggest a particular dealer in SoCal. Thanks!

Acura MDX base: by kunjus on Mon Jul 07 16:30:42 PDT 2008; Last week I bought a new MDX base model for 35650 + tax in Detroit MI. Though I never liked the dealer, it was my nearest dealer. So I had to take it. I am hoping the deal was an OK deal and I haven't given away money to teh dealer.
